Sadly I didn’t have a great experience here. I visited Comicon and stopped here for some lunch, as I was grateful to see they had vegan/vegetarian poutine options. I was curious about what vegetables were on the poutine, so I asked about it and not only was my simple question not answered, but I recieved an aggressively sarcastic response. Taken aback, I then asked for just a regular poutine, which I was then made fun of for being a vegetarian who ‘doesn’t like vegetables’. Now frustrated and publicly embarrased, I relented and just got the vegetarian poutine. I waited half an hour for it while watching many others who had ordered after me recieve their food first. When I did finally recieve it, it was an unpleasant suprise to find wilted lettuce on top of the fries, which I had to scrape off. So not only could I have saved half of what i paid for the veg poutine ($20) on a regular poutine ($12), but my time was wasted and I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to shake off such an unpleasant interaction, which could have easily been avoided. Well this review should have been done a couple of weeks ago but it certainly won't leave my mind. The company I work for was having a luncheon for us one day and the food was supplied by R&R. I'll tell you it was some of the best food I've ever eaten from a food truck I had a sample of each of the three things they were offering us the beef brisket the pulled pork and the buffalo chicken as I was getting orders from other for other people. The pulled pork and the beef absolutely melted in my mouth beautifully done. I'm not a big fan of buffalo chicken so I didn't try that one. The food truck was impeccably clean the service was impeccable the girl whose name is Erica I believe is the daughter of the guy that owns the truck, their service was impeccable the food truck was impeccably clean everything was right there everybody enjoyed the food and I would highly recommend this truck to anybody that's doing a function for company employees an outdoor situation like we had upon us that day. Good, but not great. Ordered a brisket sandwich and poutine. I’ve never had fries cooked and served so fast. It was literally 1 minute between paying and being served. Not sure how fresh the fries were going to be. First the brisket sandwich. Generous portion of both lean and moist given on this sandwich. The aroma of smoke was very present. I was definitely expecting a tender, smoky sandwich, which I kind of got. The smoke was present on some bites, but also overpowering and slightly bitter on others. The sandwich was doused in bbq sauce which rendered it very soggy and unmanageable to hold. I felt like the bbq sauce was there to hide something. The slaw I found didn’t mesh well with the meat/sauce/bun. Overall an ok sandwich, I would suggest asking for the sauce on the side. Next the poutine. R&R boasts award winning poutine and they definitely did not disappoint. The fries were crispy and hot, the gravy was a tad salty but overall delicious, with a wonderful spicy note to it.
