Me and my husband go here on a regular basis for morning coffee/treats/breakfast together. It's probably one of our favourite things to do in the West End and wish there were more local, non-chain places like this to explore. Ritual is an amazing example of a thoughtful small business as it dedicates an area of the cafe to showcase local artists - clothing, art, alcoholic beverages, jewelry, home goods, and skin care products.
The sausage breakfast sandwich is INSANE. We even asked the staff what kind of sausages they used, which we found out they are made in-house! Seriously so so so yummy. The coffee is also incredible, there are always fun, seasonal options, and it's consistent in quality which is rare. I normally get a mocha, peppermint late, or a seasonal option. The baked goods are also just SO yummy - we've tried the peanut butter brownie, lemon tart, birthday/funfetti cookie, and the coconut bar. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. The owners should be so proud of the business they've created and hopefully more will follow suite!
The atmosphere is something unique about this shop that sets it above the rest too. Lots of colour, unique lighting, fun wall decor, and mix/match seating/tables. There is a TON of seating both outside on the wrap-around porch, inside in the front of the cafe, and also in the back for more privacy. This place is often packed with people which should be a testament to how valued it is by...
Read moreVisited Ritual on Main for the first time, looking for a cold drink and snack on a Saturday afternoon. This place was great. A wonderful variety of beverages, snacks, desserts, and sandwiches. The staff were very friendly, quite knowledgeable, and definitely helpful. I tried their new summer mango matcha and it was really yummy. I just wish they'd started a bit. Has a lot of the mango puree was in the bottom. I got a raisin cinnamon and butterscotch scone to go with it. The scone was quite delicious and not dry at all. I was even given a little dish of butter with a mini spatula to go with it. It was delightful all around. The cafe itself is situated in a heritage House. You have the option of sitting inside or, as we opted to do, sit outside on their lovely wrap around veranda. It was great to sit and sip on the porch. You have such a lovely atmosphere. I really enjoyed the relaxed and low-key vibe of this place. They offer self-serve cups of water as well. The washroom is spacious and was very clean! I wish I lived closer so I could go...

First Impression: A vibrant cafe with some unique drink options. Seems like itâs a hotspot for the Stittsville community to connect, study, work, etc.
Order:Cappuccino, hot chocolate, chai tea latte.
Favourite: Chai tea latte. It was the perfect combination of milk, spices and sweetness.
Critiques: It can get very busy making it difficult to find a seat. In addition, the cappuccino tasted a tad too milky although I asked for a long shot of espresso.
Bonus: They have many board games you can choose from. My family and I played uno while we drank our coffee and had a lot of fun. In addition, they have quite a bit of unique latte options that I have not seen at other cafes in the Ottawa area.
Take Away: This is a great place to go to if youâre looking to get out of the house and connect with others while enjoying some drinks.
