I don't normally leave a review but I must be that upset to leave one. Most of my items I ordered on Ubereats are ruined. The order arrived quick, but when I opened my bag, first disappointment was the icing cookie I got for my son is MELTED. It was left on top of my hot latte drink! I started to notice inside the bag was wet, and I found my latte lid was not closed properly. Quarter of the drink was spilled and wet my two sandwiches! The way the bag looked and everything was in place, it was obvious to me the lid was not secure. It was packed inside with my other two bakery items inside, leaving almost no room to move around inside the bag. I called the store to just to let them know of my experience and feedback; DO NOT LEAVE icing on top or next to a hot item! $5 for a melted snowman, it was horrible. $9 sandwich with latte spills on them.. The staff I spoke with did apologize for my experience however overall the conversation, I did not like the way she responded and made the convo felt very akward. I felt like she just wanted to quickly get off the phone and simply state its not their fault. She said once anything leave their store its beyond their control, basically it was the driver who messed up. I did not like that, I can tell the driver was not the cause of this. The drive is less than 5 mins away and it was tight packed and sealed. She told me I can complain to Ubereats, and I am aware, but I told her the reason Im calling is to give them feedback. I guess I was hoping or would be satisfied if she were show more geninuely sorry she is for my experience and that she would let her team know about and to be more careful next time. There is a high chance that someone did not closed the lid properly and mistakes do HAPPEN. I just didn't like how she blamed the driver.
To add, when I visited this store location in the past, and the store is not kept very clean. There was flies buzzing around where I sat and tables nearby were dirty. I hope they improve, but I'm willing to travel further to another...
   Read moreAt 9:00 am on Sept 22, a delivery truck for Starbucks trapped me in the parking lot at this location for almost 30 minutes when I was trying to leave the drive-thru. I was travelling with my 1 year old child in the car. I asked the Manager for help and she blamed the delivery truck drivers and said there was nothing she could do. I COULD NOT LEAVE THE PARKING LOT.
Another Starbucks employee at this location told me the delivery was supposed to happen at 6 am and the drivers were over 3 hours late. A very kind employee at the Harveyâs next door told me she called their Landlord on my behalf because deliveries are never to be made in the front of the store (I was not the only patron who was blocked in). She said the Landlord was trying to get in touch with Starbucks to get them to move their delivery truck.
I am extremely disappointed with the Starbucks team at this location for doing the absolutely bare minimum while I was stuck in their parking lot for almost 30 minutes with my small child in the car. We had somewhere else to be and we were PHYSICALLY TRAPPED in the parking lot with no support from anyone at their store. The delivery drivers even tried to tell me it was my fault?? I submitted a complaint to Starbucks Corporate, as well.
Update: I received an email that my review was receiving a lot of views so I wanted to add what happened afterwards. I eventually received a phone call from the district manager (whose name I unfortunately do not remember) who was absolutely wonderful and appalled by the way her store handled this situation.    Read moreStarbucks @690 Eagleson rd. Kanata : The staff LACK KNOWLEDGE of Starbucks products. Was there March 22/2023 I asked for a chai tea and was told thatâs not something they do!! Itâs my regular drink!! I gently told her if she could look into the tea bags, She said she knows they only do latte. She looked anyways and found the tea! She handed me the large cup with only one tea bag in it( supposed to be two) I didnât say anything. Grabbed my weak tea, had a few sips to get through the conversation with friends I was with and threw away the tea at the end. Not impressed! Update; Made a trip to this location again . 11:00 am on Sunday: waited almost ten minutes in line . Was behind three people, no one moved. We were invisible!! The line grew to 8-9 people. My legs were hurting and I realized the coffee wasnât worth waiting online for at least 30-40 minutes of my life.
Starbucks has been really disappointing in Kanata/Stittsville!
I recommend stir away and stick with all oth coffee shops so these guys wake up and get their act together.
