I loveeeee this place If you haven't been there yet... please go and try their delights They offer the BEST Cheese Kunafeh in town, the BESTTTTTT, very generous with cheese and Ghee and more affordable than any other place in Ottawa Their sweets are the most authentic and the best in town I can say confidently that their Mushabbak and Qatayef are also the absolute best ... number one even no other store came in Second place ! I can say the same thing about their Warbat bel Qeshta. But Halawet al jibin is not...it needs more cheese to be more rubbery (it's too soft now) I still didn't have 1 good halawet jibin in any place in Ottawa..... so again it's safe to say that Huzayfa makes the best one in town ! What I don't like is every time I go there is someone new there... ... they often answer your questions with an"...

Some of the best sweets in the city. However, the young man behind the counter is always looking to scam you. The first few times, it’s part of the experience. But it quickly gets boring.

First, he offered to sell me a tray of pre-selected sweets which has a set price on the website. Instead, he weighed the sweets and the heavy plastic tray together to raise the price.

Instead, I said that I’ll select my own sweets. One of each baklava. But he couldn’t help himself and tried to sneak two or three of each kind hidden under other pieces.

Finally, when I looked away, he tried to add a bunch of other sweets for which I had not asked. I’m sure that he understood me well. I repeated my order in three languages.

And all this on Eid. The guy...

Ordered from here two times during Ramadan to share with neighbors. Very good halaweet el-jibn (sweet cheese rolls), my Middle Eastern neighbors also confirmed that they are authentic and delicious. Highly recommended these sweet cheese rolls.

But the first time we got baklava at 5pm for iftar, they were just ok: the phyllo pastry somehow had the taste and smell of grilled meat.

The second time we got baklava early morning around 11am for Eid party, the baklava were warm and fresh off the oven and tasted excellent (no smell or taste of grilled meat like the first time).

Our family loves this place. We will try more sweets. If they are consistently good, we will increase from 4...
