I'd like to update this since the owner has since responded and I appreciate how it was handled. I recognize one driver and one cashier making a typo don't represent the restaurant as a whole, so I'd just like to update my rating to reflect the service we've gotten after the fact (and again, the food was good.) -- The food was good and the portions were generous. We placed an order online, however, and the service we got was terrible. The driver was given the wrong address. He called my partner who had placed the order and asked us what building we were in. When we told him the address, he said it was "too f***ing far" and that we had put in the wrong address. We stayed on the phone as he was on his way, again repeating that we had put in the wrong address (when we were sure we hadn't) and saying it was too far. Needless to say, he had a hard time getting to us. It took ten extra minutes for our order to arrive. Upon his arrival, he showed the receipt on the bag which he had gotten the address from, and it was incorrect. He continued to reiterate what he had said before, continuing to swear at us, and then asked how we were paying (despite us having paid online and that also being on the paper which provided the address.) He went on his way and we checked the order we placed; we didn't put the address incorrectly. I've attached a screenshot of the confirmation email and a photo of the receipt on the bag -- 1124 Meadowlands became "12 Medowlands." We were polite the whole exchange, but we're extremely disappointed in the service provided. We hadn't done anything wrong on our part, although the driver assumed so (and I can't fault him for that as he only had the receipt on the bag to go by) but his attitude was completely unwarranted. We did not swear at him, we did not complain that he was taking too long. He was extremely rude and we don't understand how he was given the wrong address when our order is online, not over the phone, so there's no chance to mishear anything. On another note, the website mentions free baklava for your first online order, but there isn't even baklava on the menu. We weren't too bothered by this and went without since it's just a pastry, but whoever is managing the website might want to take a look at that.

Ordered 4 main platters and 4 sides for a family of 6. I went and picked it up myself because I was outside their delivery area. The food was hot by the time I got it back home on the table. The appetizers were all fantastic. The Hummus and the Tzatziki were to die for. The only setback was the calamari. It was not fresh and soggy. I always like to try a menu item that's not popular and see if there's a hidden gem, but this was a miss. Every main platter was absolutely amazing. The lamb, the chicken breasts and the chicken souvlaki were all perfectly seasoned, juicy and tender. The rice and lemon potatoes were heavenly and in very generous amounts. Plenty of leftovers, and they were still delicious the next day. The platters prices were very reasonable but the appetizers were a bit pricey. You can skip the appetizers altogether and still get a very decent full meal for less than $13. Main platters come with a tiny sides (dipping sauce size) of Hummus and Tzatziki. I'll keep this on my list for the days we get tired of butter chicken, but still crave rice and chicken or lamb.

I had a craving to eat some Greek food. So I searched Google maps for restaurants that had high 4.6 star rating. The Greek Souvlaki House was at the top of the list. I ordered a Greek salad and the beef souvlaki platter. I was happy with my choice, it was delicious! The meat was properly cooked to medium rare, the tzatzik creamy yogurt had a good balance of garlic and the greek salad was good. Service was great and the whole dining experience was awesome. Costs for my meal was fair and serving sizes were good. Update: I have been back several time ordering the lamb and pork souvlaki dinners and I am happy to report that every meal was awesome. I think you will like the Greek Souvlaki House. Also I noticed that there were lots of people ordering through the delivery aps. If you like my reviews, photos or videos yell out opa and give a thumbs up.

Food is excellent !! Service was above excellent !!!

I had a issue with delivery using Skip the Dish...

The Staff at The Greek Souvlaki House made my night...

As I contacted directly when I had a issue with Skip the Dish, The Greek Souvlaki House Staff was very compassionate to my problem.

The second time I called back I got the owner and again was very helpful and compassionate to what went wrong with Skip the Dish.

I ended up pick up my order due to Skip the Dish problem on delivery.

The staff and owner new I was now having to drive out to pick my food.

They made fresh new order as my hassle took over an hour with Skip the Dish.

The Greek Souvlaki Staff did this out of kindness as this was not their problem.

To top it all off they added a generous piece of chocolate cake, in hopes to make me feel better.

Wow that was above to turn my experience around.

When I got home and opened the container with the chocolate cake I was floored. It was to die for ... high end cake !!

The packaging on my food was so well done. Everything packaged beautifully food looking delicious.

Their food was amazing highly recommend their food service and packaging. Done with care !!

Thank you for the wonderful meal.

And most of all the Customer Service...

These guys know how to serve up a hearty dish. They offer very generous servings and are friendly and welcoming. I work nearby this establishment and frequent it for lunch occasionally. I dont eat there as often as my work friends do but when I do, I'm never disappointed. The servings are huge. A small side salad can be considered more like a large, its fresh and the dressing they use is delicious.Their fries (also a large portion) are fried to perfection and the seasoning they put on them is so tasty. We mainly have the open pitas which are all equallly good. I prefer the chicken fillet pita which has an entire grilled chicken breast on it but also enjoy the traditional beef gyro, which comes with so much rotisserie beef on it that it's hard to finish it (now that's a gyro!) The open pitas are served with the protein on a bed of delicious house-made tatziki, red onions and tomatoes, all a-top a soft and flavourfull pita. The lokaniko sausage is very good too. The platters are very hearty and all at very affordable prices. Although the desserts are not made in house they are to die for and should be tried on occasion. The dessert display is the first thing you are presented with when you enter the restaurant so how can you...
