Riverside Pub — Restaurant in Ottawa

Twice I've come to this excellent, homey pub and felt quite pleased and full with my meal. The service is excellent and there seems to be a great positive synergy. A special Thank you to Christine our waitress. Someone even brought out some "After Eight" mint or strawberry cookies as a bonus treat. Perhaps because of the Christmas atmosphere with the decorations. All in all, I recommend going to River Pub if you're looking for consistent good food, great service, a fun and homey vibe. I'm conflicted with the menu being so good that I want to go back again in hopes to try out something else, yet my two meals I recently had were just so fantastic, I could probably eat that every time. My first meal was the special open burger, which was hardy and delicious with some nice gravy on top and fries. My second visit was with my parents and my dad and I both enjoyed the Chimichanga. Mom's chicken sandwich with gravy was also to die for with fresh chicken and great gravy. It was a pretty fresh meals. The Riverside Pub is also conveniently located to avoid traffic, so it was perfect to meet there after a friend landed at the Airport. A real neighbourhood gem! I stopped in while waiting to pick up my son at Carleton. It is in a quiet strip mall just off Riverside near Mooneys Bay. Decor looked a little dog-eared but it was convenient and locally owned. There was one guy manning the bar, taking orders and cleaning tables. His name is Morgan and he is super friendly and conversational. You can tell from the vibe that the locals love the place. There are the regulars around the bar and Morgan is calling them by name. I ordered the nightly special (Chicken Parm) and was blown away at how good the food was. absolutley fantastic and portions to big to finish. I have been back several times and every time the service has been awesome and the food excellent. Make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding. "According to a source who was at the meeting At 9:30 PM ET at The Riverside Pub on 3673 Riverside Dr. in Ottawa on June 1st, a waiter who overheard table conversation by a group of people meeting to discuss Canadian anti-free-speech motion, M-103, and opposition to it, asked the group: “What are you guys meeting about?” The Proud Boys, who were at the meeting, answered that the group was against the current Canadian government’s policies and the organization of a freedom of speech rally.

The waiter said “You are not answering my question. What specific policy?”
