We were visiting Montréal from upstate New York and LA and found ourselves in La Femme et le Boulanger's area for hiking. Stopping in on a whim to this cozy, humble place, we were absolutely blown away by the quality of service and food. The staff was incredibly helpful and made us feel absolutely at home, even with our mediocre French. The sandwiches the owner helped us pick out were incredibly delicious (apple and cheddar and the Italian ham) and he even set up our small table to make us comfortable and poured our beverages personally into glasses he brought out. The younger worker gave us complimentary apple pastries, and he was happy to showcase his delicious New Orleans-style beignet to us Americans.
