Had the best Monday night dinner at Cojone’s Mexican Restaurant in Paradise with my partner! Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much because, well, it’s a Monday — but wow, were we pleasantly surprised! They have buy one, get one free margaritas on Mondays (dangerous, I know!) with a few flavor options like spicy lime, mango and blueberry. Naturally, we had to try them — and they were absolutely delicious.
We kicked things off with the chicken nachos, and decided to level up by adding the queso dip and salsa. I didn’t try the salsa (not a big salsa girlie here), but the queso dip? Chef’s kiss! Creamy, flavorful, and totally addictive.
For our mains, we snagged the very last two orders of the steak fajitas — apparently, they’re super popular and sell out fast, and after tasting them, it’s easy to see why. The fajitas were sizzling fresh, packed with flavor, and came in generous portions. Honestly, one of the best fajitas I’ve had in a long time.
All in, with food, a few margaritas, and taxes, the bill came to around $150 — and it felt totally worth it. The only thing I’d love to see is a bit more of an electric, party vibe inside (but that’s probably just me — I’m a weekend worker, so Monday and Tuesday are my real ‘weekends’!). Even so, with food and drink deals this good, it’s a no-brainer — we’ll definitely be back, and I hope to see more people there enjoying it too.
If you’re looking for a reason to treat yourself on a Monday, Cojone’s is it!

Read moreIt's a fairly sparse place with simple tables and a concrete floor. There's not much intimacy for diners to separate them from other customers. The menu is not huge, but the food we ate was good. We began with salsa and chips for $4. This was a bargain, as this was a lovely appetizer with our delicious claasic margaritas. Hubby had 2 enchiladas. They were smaller than expected, but they were tasty and served with refritos and rice. At the end, hubby was quite full. I had ordered chicken nachos but I could not find any chicken in the generous platter that arrived. This was addressed quickly by our server who offered a variety of solutions. However, I just asked that the extra fee for chicken be removed from our bill, as there was a lot of food anyway. This request was successful and we did not pay for missing chicken. The pickled red onions were all over the top of the nachos, so I removed 80% of them, but they were mild, tasty, and crunchy. I ordered all three possible sauces: guacamole, questions, and salsa. They were all excellent. I took home a huge amount of food. The restaurant seems to be plagued with the same fruit flies that are in a lot of local restaurants these days, so that was unpleasant. The service was EXCELLENT. Jill served us and checked on us multiple times. She was friendly and genuinely kind. One of the best servers we have had in a while: kudos! Overall, this was a pleasant dining experience with tasty food and...
Read moreWe usually eat here every year on my birthday but we were definitely surprised this year with how much smaller the portions were- we get the same thing every time. I will say the taste of the food is absolutely delicious, I always look forward to it, and the staff are lovely! The street fries were incredible, the birria tacos are always great, although there was a large piece of fat in one, and the cod tacos are perfectly balanced with all the different toppings. We were surprised there is no chips and salsa for the table. A small sangria (very small) was $15. The tacos I received were honestly half the size of our last visit, and even half the size of other review pictures here from less than a year ago on the same plates- even the consume was served in a smaller cup which makes dipping awkward. The tacos could fit in my palm. The enchiladas were comically small, with a very small portion of beans and rice, and the chicken unfortunately wasn’t great, strange texture. To leave a restaurant hungry after spending close to $100 is disappointing. The restaurant business is hard, the cost of everything is rising, I’m sure the overhead is astronomical but shrinkflation is not the way to keep people coming back. I’d happily pay more to keep great places like this in business but not when the...
