Ocean Sushi — Restaurant in Paradise

Went to this place with high expectations. After having placed my order my server came and asked me if my chicken teriyaki was supposed to be a starter or an entree to which i replied that it was an entree. My server responded with “Oops I made a mess” and proceeded to walk away. After she served me my starter which came out okay she then served the other people at my table their entrees with no word as to where my entree was. The other people I was eating with had finished their entree and had asked for takeout boxes and I had not gotten mine after having been there an hour at this point not to mention the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived. I told my server I have been waiting a long time for my meal and that the others were already finished and she replied with “ Oh the kitchens probably just taking their time. I’ll check.” When she came back with takeout boxes for the other people at my table I told her after waiting an hour I would just take my bill. This is probably the third time myself and my boyfriend have been to the restaurant and the other two times were definitely awesome. However todays meal was on a whole other level, absolutely insane how amazing everything was!! We always love the vibes of the place and the staff are always so kind, but the food was amazing, out of this world, no complaints! We had the cheese wontons (amazing), the crispy spicy salmon roll (the best sushi roll I’ve had in my life), the spicy butterfish (holy cow I had never eaten butterfish before but I definitely will starting now), the golden California roll (I usually don’t like crab but this changed my mind) and the paradise roll (one word: stunner). The spicy mayo and tempura bits are to die for. I don’t have as many words in my vocabulary to express just how much this place amazed myself and my boyfriend, and we are so glad we celebrated our special anniversary here! If you're from the Western part of the island like us, then you will know the quality of the food when I say, Ocean Sushi is right up there with Newfound Sushi (place in Corner Brook).

The variety of food just blew me away as the menu was endless from appetizers to entrees, rolls, soups, noodles, salads. . . There is so much to pick from. My husband had the Salmon Five Ways as well as a California roll and he raved about his entire order. Specifically noting how much he enjoyed the five varieties of salmon in one dish. I had the tempura vege and shrimp as well as a chicken udon noodle. Both were delicious.

The portion sizes were great! We each had left overs which we enjoyed the next day and it's so fairly priced, you just can't go wrong!

We ordered online, so we cannot speak to the service, however, it was ready in no time and we were able to grab and go within 20 minutes of ordering!

10/10 would highly recommend this place for any Sushi lovers out there! Best place we've tried for Sushi in...
