Went to Robins Paradise location on kenmount rd. Young fella was friendly, place clean, had a few rowdy young fells hanging round. Ordered a dozen donuts. Selected from the limited options they had. I paid $17! Thought it was wrong price since a dozen at Tim's is barely $11! But at a Bowling tournament all day & get a family treat since at other Robins we have enjoy their product. Got home boiled kettle and the apple fritters were rock hard like a dried out deep fried funnel cake. The cinnamon buns had no cinnamon flavor and dry. Was very disappointed. Tried calling number out of order on their web site. So doing this format instead. Avoid this place!
UPDATE!! I was asked to contact Robins as you can see from my above original complaint! I've sent 2 emails & NO ONE has contacted me to date!! So this must be a smoke & mirror corporation. They reach out on public reviews to seem they are a caring corporation but it's all fake!! Make no wonder most of their locations serve us expired goods. Profits before customers!!
Update #2!! Over 1 Month & this person has not responded back to me after they reached out asking me to directly contact them. I still to date got no response after being asked to contact them. It's ALL smoke & mirrors! They say they want to fix the issue. Well, this proves the issue is the Owner/Operator & NOT the Employee! They are instructed by Management hense the very...
Read moreThis coffee shop is very underrated compared to the usual go-to options found around Paradise and Mount Pearl. It may be somewhat out of the way for most, but their food choices for the breakfast and bakery menu are very good.
I had recently had the fried egg sandwich on thick cut toast and it was far more traditional than usual on-the-fly choices from competitors. Their donuts are also very fresh; I try to bring in a variety to the office on days I can and they always go over well with colleagues.
On top of the food being quality, the service is also very desirable. The staff are always friendly and quick in getting your order together. I haven't had a hitch with getting an incorrect order yet, so it has been a frequent as of late for that reason alone. The only thing I would like to see is an oat milk option for coffee. Currently, they only offer almond milk which is okay, but oat milk is my preferred choice. A very good establishment that has solid service and...
Read moreOverall I was glad to see an alternate option to Tim's. Sadly the coffee here is by far the worst I have ever tried, and I am talking even compared to dirty gas station coffee. Its basically water with a hint of coffee followed up with a ton of cream etc.
Now the donuts on the other hand are quite tasty for a fast food coffee shop. Its the only reason they got 2 stars, I would have given 3 stars just for the donuts but the coffee is so bad I just could not justify it.
Also I have tried a few of their sandwiches, also not worth the money, better off buying from a convivence store/gas station.
Im not surprised they are going out to business (not sure about this location) as the quality is...
