Gelato Village — Restaurant in Pelham

I recently visited Gelato Village, and while they offer a commendable range of flavours, my overall experience was average. The taste of their gelato, while not bad, failed to leave a lasting impression. It lacked that "wow" factor I was hoping for.

Another aspect that left me underwhelmed was the ambiance of the store. It was uncomfortably warm inside, which detracted from the enjoyment of savouring the gelato. Additionally, the limited seating options made it challenging to find a place to sit and relax while enjoying the treat.

Brought friends from Ottawa/Gatineau to Gelato Village Saturday evening. We each had 2 scoops in a cup. One friend had the Mango flavour and after tasting her gelato made a face and said it was ‘off’. No she didn’t have a sample first, but how many of us do that that have gelato regularly. I thought they would replace it for free or even half price, but no, two new scoops of other flavours were full price. Disappointing for sure and very poor customer service. Great place especially in the warmer weather to stop for a nice little cool refreshing treat. Lots of different flavors, and it was really nice to be offered a few little sample bites to try before ordering. That’s a small gesture, but a big deal when trying to decide on so many options. So you don’t end up having to get stuck and pay for and eat something that you didn’t like or weren’t sure of. Been several times with the wife, kid and friends, always left satisfied, cooled down...
