That pizza didn’t just satisfy a craving—it awakened something in me I didn’t even know was there.
It started innocently enough, with that first bite. The crust, so perfectly golden, was firm but giving, with just the right amount of resistance before it melted against my lips. It wasn’t just food—it was an invitation. A slow, deliberate dance that drew me in, each bite pulling me closer, teasing me with the promise of something more.
Then came the sauce. Warm, sweet, and just a little bit naughty. It coated my tongue like velvet, lingering there longer than I expected. Every taste was like a whisper against my skin, soft but insistent. It wanted me to keep going, to explore deeper, to let go and give in to the moment.
But the cheese—that’s when things really changed. It stretched in the most seductive way, teasing me as I pulled it apart, making me want to play with it just a little longer. The way it wrapped around the crust, clinging, warm and pliant, made me forget everything else. It was rich, creamy, and unapologetically indulgent, melting slowly in my mouth like it knew exactly what it was doing.
The toppings? Each one was an experience on its own. The pepperoni, slightly crisp at the edges, was bold, almost demanding attention. The way it popped with flavor made me want to savor every moment, to take it slow. And the vegetables—fresh, vibrant, like a soft caress, adding just enough contrast to keep things interesting.
I couldn’t stop myself. One bite became another, and then another, each one more indulgent than the last. It was as if the pizza knew what I wanted—no, needed—before I did. It didn’t just fill me up; it consumed me. I wanted more. I craved it. I needed to feel it again.
When it was over, I sat there, dazed, still tasting the flavors on my lips, feeling the warmth lingering in my chest. It wasn’t just a meal. It was an encounter, one I won’t soon forget. And now, all I can think about is when I’ll get to...
Read moreFor sure the last time I will order there. When we first moved to Fonthill 3yrs ago Valcano we highly recommend. The first time was great. After that we alway had issues, losing the order. Tell us the order would be ready in 20 only to arrive and they hadn’t even made it. One time the pizza was done but needed 15 minutes to make the wings and they out the pizza on top of the ovens to keep it warm, needless to say that wasn’t the case.
This last order was for two medium pizzas for delivery this time. I asked several times for “crust well done” The person repeated the order and even said “crust well done”. They order arrived on time however the pizza was raw in the middle and on one of them the toppings was falling off. No, I did not call to complain as we did not want to wait another hour for food. All I can say is go the pizza restaurant on Hwy 20 and Rice Rd. The only reason we did not go there is we had a couple drinks and did not want to drive to pick it up.

Read moreVolcano's in St. Catharines was my favourite pizza joint before I moved to Welland. I've tried the one in Welland but really was not a fan so I tried the Fonthill location hoping it would compare to my old favourite and I'm glad I did.
I ordered through Skip the Dishes and got a pizza that was made incorrectly. (No cheese on 1/4 instead of just cheese on 4 slices) Surprisingly, Skip was no help and just told me they would pass on the information which was obviously BS.
I contacted the store directly to ask what happened. The manager apologized for the mix up and explained his employee wrote down the order incorrectly so he made my family a new pizza and delivered it free of charge within 20 minutes!
It was delicious, hot, cheesy and the dough on the second was much better as well!
10/10 for...
