We arrived late at Barley Mill Brew Pub & Sports Bistro in Penticton after a long day, and it was a fantastic choice to cap off the evening! Despite rolling in close to closing time, the staff were incredibly welcoming and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. Our server was friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor, checking in just enough to keep things smooth without hovering. The atmosphere was lively and cozy, with that classic British Tudor-style charm—think rustic decor, sports memorabilia everywhere, and a warm, inviting vibe. The upstairs Sports Bistro, with its hockey, baseball, and football relics, added a fun, nostalgic touch, and I can see why locals love it. The place was busy, but they got us seated quickly, which was impressive for a late-night crowd. The food was amazing! We didn’t specify what we ordered, but the menu’s pub classics—think juicy burgers, beer-battered fish and chips, and hearty flatbreads—were executed perfectly, with generous portions and bold flavors. Their in-house craft beers, like the Mustang Pale Ale and Nite Mare Brown Ale, were a highlight, brewed right on-site and paired beautifully with the meal. The dog-friendly patio and big-screen TVs make it a great spot for a casual night out or to catch a game. Overall, a top-notch brewpub experience with great service and a vibrant atmosphere. Can’t wait to...

Sorry for this Bad Review. I am 47yrs old. I have been smoking BC BuD for 35yrs. I come out to sing karaoke every Wednesday and Friday since I've moved back to penticton. And Unfortunately i walked in smelling like PoT i walked staight to the bartender and asked for a pint with side lime juice then he told me i was cut off and refused to serve me and I asked, WHy is it because I smell like marijuana ,and he said yes. I looked at him and asked are you serious. I was appalled, I told him that I walked here (the barleymill) from my place and yes I smoked OnE Joint . He (the bartender) didn't even ask me if I had a medical license. Needless to say I dont let one SoUrAppLe ruin what I normally enjoy. So you might want to set a policy in place regarding recent decriminalization of recreational PoT. CHeeRz ! Sincerely, and Respectfully J. Kazakff Former employee that has always enjoyed the service and atmosphere and my employmemt. Attn: Larry Lund. I hope I don't have to deal with this on Friday when I come out for karaoke.By the way ,the rest of the the staff have always gone above and beyond on our visits...

I came out from Kelowna with my sister and to have a fun night at karaoke for my birthday. Even though we are pretty picky with food, this place nailed everything. My sister and I shared the clubhouse and the chicken cranberry flatbread and both were so incredibly good. The atmosphere and the people and the karaoke were all amazing. My only negative would be about the service. He was nice but was very fast when speaking to us, almost brushing us off. Even my one friend tried to order a drink twice and he would leave so fast he wouldn't even hear my friend try to order his drink. And then when I ordered another drink he forgot for a very long time and I had to remind him and I still watched him go around and do everything else for a while before finally bringing it to me. And it was just a shot. However it was also pretty busy and he did seem like they had him running around so i understand forgetting the drink for so long... I just think business shouldn't affect taking a second and paying attention to your customers when they are asking for things instead of brushing them...

🏳️‍🌈🇨🇦👩🏼‍🎤💘🏳️‍🌈 Always love the atmosphere of this pub. The food is amazing & so it the beer... I had the Steak & Sleeve special for $16.99 (after 3pm) Paired with the Winter Ale & I added garlic toast for only 99 cents. The meal was s0o0o0o0o delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly to the MR asked foe & spiced perfectly. Mashed potatoes have great flavor as well as topped with gravy aside delicious veg... crafted here this time I tried the Berry Sour & it is exactly what its name says & I also tried the Winter Ale (paired with my meal) & this brew is like a chocolatey coffee treat... I dont drink coffee tho its just the right equality to the flavour palet provided. I say a hell yeah to Barley Mill once again!

I’ll start off by saying that I was a bit disappointed that on a midsummer Friday evening around 9pm, I was repeatedly told by other venues that their kitchen was either closed, or the menu was limited to a handful of options, none-of-which I felt like after a long day in the Okanagan sun. Fast forward to the Barley Mill Brew Pub. Not only was their kitchen open, but the food was bangin, B! Had the halibut burger with salad and buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese dip. The kitchen nailed it! Karaoke was in full swing, the Guinness pints were flowing and the service from the bartender was outstanding. This place is a vibe on a Friday night. Check them out. Unfortunately, this is the only photo I managed to take.
