We arrived at Da Silva for dinner newly engaged that day July 22 also my birthday on top.. looked to be a fantastic place as not many wineries appeared to be open that evening. We sat down on there deck which was a hot box in blaring east sunshine unfortunately.. they only had one fan on the entire deck, with sunshades to try block the sunshine.. it was extremely hot. We quickly were seated, we got the menus had drinks ordered and brought to us efficiently. The waitress quickly told us about the chefs choice and suggested that as its the same price as if we pick our own regardless.. we quickly went through the menu told the waitress our likes and dislikes, however turns out all the vegetarian, seafood things were normal, but the items under the meat section were not and that wasn’t communicated to us! Our first few items came out shrimp was fantastic, we had a carmelized jalapeño come out.. which iam not sure was a great choice as its 40 degrees on the deck and were nearly dying as it is and a jalapeño comes out, 3rd item we had come out and it was a cow’s tongue. At this point we were confused we advised the waitress this is something we definitely wouldn’t eat and to pls bill us for its fine but nothing more bizarre. We sat we waited 4th item comes out and its chicken hearts.. at this point we were concerned about what’s happening with the food selection.. so we called the waitress over advised her we would like to stop the chef choice and pick our own choices as were not sure where these weird options are coming from.. she then proceeded to tell us its on the meat menu.. we politely said okay bring us the menu we will pay for this but no more.. we made our 2 selections to the waitress and sat with chicken hearts on our table that we definitely had no intentions eating.. 50min goes by and no other selections came out.. we felt we then offended the cook and were a bit upset.. the waitress came back and asked if there was anything else she could get us?? We were confused as we were waiting for the food.. at this point we gave them another 15 min and nothing so we got up and asked for our bill promptly.. the waitress then decided to kick it into high gear and said our food was coming out.. interesting enough our food selection flowed fine until we asked to stop the chefs choice!! We stood in the wine tasting room as she directed us to wait there and she ignored us for another 10 min we actually had to interrupt her as she was just blatantly standing in kitchen area avoiding us rudely.. we then asked again for the 3 time to pay our bill.. she finally came out let us pay our bill was trying to then give us the food we ordered that we had paid for but we didnt want it anymore! We sat for 50min waiting!! the service was awful! The deck is poorly setup for hot Okanagan summers.. and if your interested in chef choice make sure you engaged fully with your waitress on what you like and don’t.. we didn't realize we were going into a delicacy style tapas where you ask what wine pairs well with chicken hearts, cows tongue, animal tendons and feet under there “meat” section not exactly what we had planned.. very disappointing that we were snubbed because of our food choices.. i dont ever post negative comments but the fact the waitress was rude and was dismissive towards us was ultimately the worst customer experience I’ve ever received, especially on a dbl...

This was the first winery I visited when I arrived. Firstly a huge shoutout to the lady whose mother passed recently; she soldiered on like a professional and gave me a great tasting experience. She was very personable and sweet, and was knowledgeable. Their tasting is set with 3 whites and 2 reds; I ended up leaving with their Misconduct blended wine (from their previous label as they are now rebranded as Da Silva) and the $5 tasting was waived due to my purchase. They have some cute wine gifts and cook books if you’re looking to buy a souvenir for wine aficionados.

After my tasting I went to the patio where I had a reservation for lunch at The Kitchen. Here they serve mostly tapas and there’s a minimum order of two tapas per person, which I didn’t really like being forced to order at least two dishes but honestly I would’ve ordered two or more anyway (I just didn’t like the rule). Anyhow the tapas range from $6-17 based on ingredients and the portions are tapa sized (small) but the dishes were otherwise well executed and priced accordingly. For example I had the citrus calamari which were tasty but a little over salted for $12 and I think it was fairly priced to a little expensive but since this is a restaurant at a winery I do expect to pay a premium so this was priced accordingly. I also ordered the $14 truffle mac and cheese and while it was good, it wasn’t amazing for $14. The food also came out slowly but when I saw the kitchen, I only saw two cooks working (the patio has 6-8 tables capacity) so that could be why. Overall I liked the food and the mountain views were nice to look at while I dined and my server was nice. The restaurant isn’t a must visit if you’re not right on time but I am...

Extremely pretentious, unprofessional and unwelcoming. We were in town for one day and on a non busy Tuesday afternoon when most wineries in the area were closed for lunch . We called ahead of time and were told we can walk in for lunch on the patio . We arrived at 1:30 pm and approached the patio for walk-in . We first waited to be greeted as nobody was there, then we were told “oh we are all booked” As we stared at an empty table of 5 in the corner. When we questioned the one table that was available even though it was sufficient for five and it had five seats around it they said they couldn’t accommodate five on that table. Definitely not a place I would like to spend my money or time especially for a patio that was nothing out of the ordinary or cut up for the Kardashians or anything! Half of running a business is customer service. A Reality check is definitely in need at this place. We then went 8km further to Lake Okhnangan Breeze and were welcomed with smiles, kind and open hearts and overall a...

I had a chance to stop by at this great winery with my wife. We just stopped by after a disappointing experience at Township 7 winery! Jennifer provided us great different wines of the Da Silva vineyard. History of their family and story of each wine and lots of knowledge in her field. I bought 3 different wines as we could not choose among them.then l decided to buy for my friend an extra one too . I wish we could try their kitchen for the dinner but there was a age limit of over 12 year old while both of my kids are below 12🫣 But l will certainly come back and will definitely register for their club. ** l usually not a fan of wines but when she explained the story of processing and flavoring of each wine, l could feel the flavors which was so satisfying for me.maybe l am at the age that should try wines more🥸 In general l recommend this location and it worth for every penny you spend.

How lucky we were to stumble upon this gem on their last day of service. I can’t thank the team at Da Silva enough for the incredible experience we had there. The two weeks we were in BC, this was the best meal we had - the seafood was so incredibly fresh and everything was seasoned perfectly. The service was also far beyond expectations and I cannot thank the waitress enough for making our day. Highly recommend visiting when they open up for the season again!

Excellent Portuguese/Spanish style restaurant, lots of tapas . You won't find this cuisine here in Okanagan, it's unique. Sardines are great, sausage, calamari, ceviche, chicken hearts, bread, shredded pork with portuguese style condiments...all made to order. Be prepared to have a 2-hour meal.Ask for wine or sangria and wait. Chef makes one by one and it's great. Second time in this restaurant , with my kids btw.
