Picnic Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Perth

Food and coffees were great! However, my partner and I were made quite uncomfortable as 4/5 staff members were not wearing masks in the open kitchen, which is just a few meters from the counter. Not a great feeling when they are the ones preparing your food.

Part 2: (since I cannot reply to your response) Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the plexiglass-separated seating, but that is not where my discomfort stemmed from. In a close proximity in kitchen where physical distancing is not always possible, safety standards should be upheld, both for the well-being of your staff and customers. This review was made because I did not feel comfortable approaching your unmasked staff. I am aware that take-out exists, but when the people handling my food are not always wearing the proper protective equipment, contamination is a concern. Picnic Cafe & Catering is amazing! Every time my partner and I visit Perth, we always stop in to get a meal and a snack. Our favourites are the Brownie, Smoothies, Chicken Satay Bowl, Korean Beef Bulgogi, Power Bowl (the hummus and avocado are so fresh and delicious!) Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies and their Egg Sandwiches (on a house made buttermilk biscuit)! Honestly, every thing we have bought we have LOVED!! Food, 5 stars. Atmosphere, 5 stars. Staff, 5 stars!!! My husband and I just started to visit this local gem, they make THE best iced maple lattes and their sushi bowl is to die for. If you're in perth visiting, or live here... you'll wanna add this spot to your list! Dine in and take out options, everything is fresh and delicious! The staff are all very friendly and the café is clean, quirky and bright!

The only catch... is that they're not open on weekends. But that only means that you've got something to look forward to...
