Customer service was good for what it was. But the food situation was not great. The chicken was soft and tender and really great but they have absolutely downsized their chicken. Also, I asked for three-piece white meat meal and I told him I don’t want a wing and they toss in a wing anyways in that box and when I asked the cashier if they would’ve put a wing in there and she goes no they would only put white meat and so I believed her until I got home. But even if all three were chicken breast; it still would not have been filling because they are extremely smaller than what they used to be.
I was getting annoyed with how many Uber eats orders they were getting and the actual people coming in because she had stopped me midway through my ordering to go to the tablet to see what Uber eats order was coming in or she was modifying it and looking through the screen. Then when I was about to pay for my meal and UBER DRIVER came in, and she stopped, preparing all my stuff inside the bag and took care of the Uber eats person first before taking care of me. This was very agitating since I was very hungry and I was already waiting there for almost 10 minutes for my food and it was only me at the counter and no one else at the beginning .
I personally will not come back to this location again as it wasn’t worth my $20 for three small pieces of chicken and one of them was also a chicken wing and for being kicked to the curb every time there is an Uber eat order or person during my wait time over there. I was not a happy customer at all . It’s unfortunate because they do have great chicken, but with the downsizing of it and their service catering to Uber eats first. Not good at all...
Read moreIf you like fried chicken, KFC is a pretty good standard for comparison. They aren't overly expensive. They're consistent. The chicken tastes good. The macaroni salad is great! The coleslaw is tasty. Essentially, you know exactly what keeps you coming back for more.
Well, Mary Brown's 'is' definitely the best fried chicken around! Or as their slogan says: "Mary Brown has the best legs in town!" Cheeky? Definitely! Non-pc? C'mon, folks! We're talkin' "chicken" here. Lighten up!
Look! The only drawback that I can think of re: Mary Brown's, is the fact that it takes a little longer to get your order than in generally does at KFC; and considering that they don't cook any of the chicken before you order your food, I consider that a HUGE bonus. (...and I suspect that it adds to the taste!)
Their potato wedges are good, too! IMO, you can't go wrong. Make a large garden salad bowl, at home; and swing on down to a Mary Brown's near you. It's an easy way to feed a large number of people... and impress them with fried xhicken, like only their grandparents enjoyed.
Oh! Not to overlook it, but the staff is generally quite nice at all the MB locations that I've visited. I don't know if that's a reflection of customer service training, or simply good hiring practices at MB from the top-down. Doesn't matter! You're likely to return, because the value per dollar is on par with KFC; and the taste is...
Read moreVery disappointed. I ordered food here with my young child, specifying clearly that he cannot eat spicy food. We got our orders... only to find they gave him spicy chicken. We took the food back to the counter and calmly explained they got our order wrong. Even though we were the only ones in the restaurant, we had to wait 20 minutes for new food. While waiting, I saw an employee shaking a red-colored bottle over something, a smirk on her face. Her expression seemed odd, but I didn't give it much notice. Once we FINALLY got our "fixed" order, we were running late, so we rushed home with our new food. Once home, my son bit into his chicken... only to find out it was EXTREMELY spicy. Even the adults in the house could not tolerate it. Clearly, an employee at Mary Brown thought it would be hilarious to "prank" us with extra-hot chicken, after we repeatedly asked for mild. What kind of person thinks it's funny to mess with a young child's food? Do NOT order food here. They will mess with your food and health...
