Usually love lone star but today we got takeout for the first time. Was told 30 minutes and at 37 minutes I had to ask the girl where our food was. She went to the back and came back with nothing. She didn’t say anything and went back to sorting cutlery. I had to get her attention again and she said “oh sorry. It’ll be a few minutes.”

When we finally got the food it was a 5 minute drive home. We unboxed the steak fajita bowls ($53) and were VERY disappointed. Everything was very cold and there was barely anything in the boxes. We each pulled out the red sauce they gave and one was full while the other barely had a quarter of the amount. Overall it was a bad experience with really bad quality food.

Normally we love everything.

EDIT: Manager reached out and gave us a free meal/experience to make up for the poor one above. We sat in instead of take out. The food was much much better... like worlds better. The service was extremely poor though. Not sure if it was because our meal was comped so the server felt she didn't need to try but we didn't see our actual server at all.

We waited 10 minutes at our table before a hostess came up and took our drink order. 5 minutes later a different one took our food order. We weren't given the complimentary chips and salsa every table gets. We asked about them after seeing tables sat after us and immediately given. We were told they would be coming. 10 minutes later another table was seated beside us and immediately given them but still not us. We flagged another server down and asked again. Finally they came.

During the meal we were checked on by the hostess again then 10 seconds later our actual server came and asked us how everything was. Very odd.

At the end the floor manager came over and we had a good chat. She offered us dessert and we left fairly happy. I would just recommend that server is talked to about ignoring patrons... even ones that arent paying. We were definitely expecting to pay for our own drinks and tip the server for the cost...

Dining out with foodie friends is always a pleasure, especially when the food is delicious, the drinks are refreshing, and the entertainment is good. Entertainment? Yes, we enjoyed an evening of karaoke at Pickering's Lone Star Texas Grill recently. I didn't realize my friends were so...errr... Talented? Our evening started with apps on the patio but wet weather soon chased us inside, where we also had our first round of cocktails.

Besides the complimentary chips and salsa, we also had Classic Queso & Chips, Antojitos, Taquitos, and Alligator Bites. All were good, especially the cocktails, which included some Frozen Margaritas and Margarita Flights.

That was followed by the Grilled Steak and Buffalo Chicken Fajitas, complete with Tortillas and all the fixings. Always enjoyable. Other dishes included Shrimp Tacos, Enchiladas, Taquitos, Quesadillas, and a Nashville Chicken Sandwich. It was a lot of good food!

Another round of delicious cocktails followed, which obviously loosened up inhibitions. A couple of brave souls from our party serenaded the dining room with their karaoke skills and eventually closed out our evening. Bravo!

Check out Lone Star Texas Grill in Pickering for good food and great cocktails, with Karaoke entertainment on Thursday evenings! 2021

I finally made it out to Lone Star to use a gift card that I had won in a contest. Sadly, I can't remember who hosted the contest but I thank you! I had the Ribs and Wings platter with Waffle Fries and it was pretty good! It was a lot of food and I was stuffed! My cousin had the Burger with Bacon and Cheese, which was also very big and too much for her to finish. We did manage to split an order of Churros for dessert, and we enjoyed the complimentary Salsa and Nacho Chips to start. Dining on the patio under COVID-19 restrictions was different from what we're used to but it was nice to have the extra spacing between tables. The service...

This place used to be my go to and honestly, I am just so disappointed. I decided to celebrate my birthday here with my husband and two kids. We showed up and were sat right away (not busy, Tuesday), then the lady said she'd bring our children some crayons. Unfortunately she forgot. No problem at all, so I asked again, 20 mins later, still nothing, so I got up and went to the front and asked for them again. Finally got them, we move on, no big deal. Our server comes, we order from her. I don't know what was going on with her but she literally didn't even look at us and rushed to take our order and never came back to check on us. We got our food from someone else and asked for a refill of chips (yes we are a member to get the refills) but our server never came to see us to ask if we needed a refill on our alcoholic drinks, kids drinks. I couldn't even get napkins, Ketchup for my kids food. We finally flagged our server down at the end (still no refill of our chips came) and she gave us such cut eye literally was gone for the entire duration, no one was there. We finally flagged her down at the end of our meal and she was visible annoyed that we called her over. I just asked for our takeout boxes, the kids desserts from their kids meals (don't order the chicken fingers they were dried up/not juicy) and our bill. I didn't dare order a birthday cake for myself because I was just done at that point. The chips finally came when we were ready to leave. Such a joke! I do not suggest going to this place until they figure out how to properly train their staff. And I'll reiterate, it was not busy and more than enough staff to handle the half...

Our first visit at Lonestar. There's a Happy hour menu daily 8pm - close. The server name was Dixie. She was friendly and checked on us regularly. There was an issue with the orders and the kitchen brought out a plate of ribs however we ordered the ancho bbq chicken Enchiladas. One of the other servers had to call our server to resolve the mix-up with the orders. Dixie returned to our table and explained to us our orders are coming soon. We waited about 25 minutes for our orders to come out. That is too long for 1 lb of wings and Enchiladas. The Enchiladas did not meet our expectations. The Enchiladas were warm not hot. The rice was dry and beans looked like canned beans. The ancho bbq chicken had nice flavor but that was the only positive. I will not order this again. The chicken wings were half price for happy hour. $9.50 for 1lb and comes with ranch or blue cheese dip and carrots. The carrots were not chopped in bite size portions. We ordered 2 x 1 lb of wings one tequila lime bbq and other one honey garlic. The wings were juicy, meaty and delicous. We also ordered 18oz Budweiser drafts for $6.29 which are part of the $3 off happy hour specials for domestic drafts. For a Friday night, the restaurant was not too busy and you would expect faster service. We did see other diners who also had to wait a long time for their orders as well. We will still give them another try as they have some good daily specials, lunch specials and the steak fajitas really looked good. PS we also didnt get the Cinco de mayo piñata offer to win prizes when we got our bill. We are disappointed however we didn't let this ruin our Friday night.

I would give this a LONELY star but management did a great job reaping an extra 3 stars, fill your galaxy one star a at time! Oh, where do I even start with this restaurant's fajitas! They were so delicious that they must have used a time machine to cook them to perfection, but the portions were smaller than a squirrel's lunch. I practically needed a microscope to see them! 🌮 Now, about our waitress, she was clearly auditioning for the Sloth Olympics. She moved slower than a snail on vacation, making us wonder if she was on a quest to beat the world record for slowest service. And oh boy, when it came to the bill, she managed to create a culinary masterpiece of mistakes, as if she was an avant-garde artist of errors! It was like decoding an ancient manuscript trying to figure out what we actually ordered. We ended up with a laughable puzzle that even Sherlock Holmes would struggle to solve. 🐌 Overall, despite the tiny fajitas and the comically slow service with an artistic twist on the bill, it was a hilariously memorable experience we won't soon forget! Thanks guys! Appretiate you guys helping out with the bill due to inconvenience, hopefully back soon when your portions get bigger!
