Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Pickering

If there was a star below one. I would definitely select that. Anyhow I ordered a veggie philly sandwich. The cashier had no clue what it was. After minute and asking his fellow worker he finally got it. He asked me for the toppings. Which I told him I just want it how you guys have it on your website. He said no you need to add topping. I left my phone in the car so I just guessed the toppings. I did remember it comes with portable mushrooms. He replied no we dont add that in the sandwich. Again he asked his co worker. He realized we do add mushrooms. I wonder if this guy even knows what a philly sandwich is. Anyhow I grabbed my phone and showed him the correct toppings on the website. He said ok and he will make it the way it is on the website. So after waiting for 20 minutes I get my food. I go home to eat it. And saw the veggie philly sandwich is prepared in a pita bread and not a bun as shown in the website. It looked nothing like a philly sandwich and it did not taste nothing like a philly sandwich. It just tasted like a cheap wrap I could get a s flea market. I looked at the topping none of it was the philly sandwich topping, which he said he make the change. He just made it the way I originally ordered. So he never changed the toppings after I told him I picked the wrong toppings and the fact he said no worries he make the changes. So obviously he lied on that part to a customer. When I called him. He just told me he made it the way I asked him. I told him yes but then I showed you the correct topping on your freaking website. He would not admit it he messed up. After realizing this guy knows nothing about how to prepare the sandwich. I just told him to have a nice day. As he would not admit to his mistake and I was wasting my breath on a lyer. Not going to waste my time on it. I work at the in hospital and deal with cancer patients everyday. And not once would I treat them wrong ormist importantly lie to. Anyhow you guys lost a customer. I just stick to mr Greeks for my philly sandwich. Its was a one time try and boy what waste...

We ordered Chicken Shawarma, asked to add a bit of all the vegies. But they added 0.5% chicken which couldnt be seen in Shawarma and most of it was filled with vegies. Shawarma was terrible! Though if some balanced amount of the stuff was added it might have been quite nice . But well wasted money! Didnt even fix it upon complaint . And served it cold, then we asked its cold, they took it but still wasnt really like a freshly made shawarma(which is served hot and yum)

Also, wanted to mention- why mention how much amount of these vegies is specifically to be added and is a standard? Why not look for or ask for how much vegies would you like us add. As the standard quantity vegies when added doesnt give the customer a Chicken Shawarma and ruin our time, food experience, expectation and our money!

I asked these are lots of vegies, and there is no chicken but they said thats the standard amount of vegies and then chicken and we cant fix it. Also, Then the plate of half rice & half fries and beef or whatever.. oh God! Zero taste! Please dont waste money! Very disappointed! Never...

Best Osmow's around for one reason and that reason is a man named Ibrar. For the people that were disappointed with the quality of food there I can assure you it was BEFORE Ibrar worked there. He worked at the Ajax location before (where I first met him as I was a regular there even when the Pickering location was built and is without question nearer to me). However for convenience one day I tried this location in Pickering and there was a clear noticeable difference in the quality of the food as it wasn't the same as the one in Ajax. So I kept going to the one in Ajax till, to my surprise, the food quality there decreased (not saying it got bad, it just wasn't as good). I decided to give the one in Pickering another shot and to my surprise, Ibrar was behind the counter!! Needless to say I got the best tasting shawarma that day...and the next time...and the next. Customer service at this location has always been great and the food there is now excellent. If you walk through those doors and see Ibrar, you'll walk out a very happy individual. Give that...
