Wild Wing — Restaurant in Pickering

I would rate 0 if google would allow.

Servers ask you to pay even though you did not request to get the bill and even though you are not done eating because their shift has ended. Very poor customer service etiquette.

Came here today Nov. 22 for my pre birthday dinner with my family started eating at 8:20PM. At 8:50PM we were still eating. I, the birthday celebrant was still holding my chicken and eating.

The female server came to our table to say “You guys looked stuffed. How did you find the food?” We responded the food is good. Then she responds “I will get you one container should fit everything” “should I get the bill?” We responded “later”. She comes back with a to go box.

We were so confused why she was asking if we wanted the bill when we didn’t ask for a to go box or the bill.

At 9PM she comes back with the machine. She says “Are you ready to pay now or later” we did not request for the bill and still eating. My mother in law responded “why are you asking us to pay we did not request to get the bill right now”.

She then responds. “You are free to stay at the restaurant but my shift has ended. You can pay now. If you pay later, the other staff here might not take care of your needs.”

Can’t believe she just said this.We were so irritated, took the machine and paid even though there were still a lot of food on the table.

Well, after a year of going to this restaurant it's about time for a review. In all honesty this place is great, the two main waitresses (Lydia and Courtney) were a blast. Always an inviting atmosphere and great customer service, and of course awesome wings. This has had me and friends coming back for this long already. It's unfortunate about the experience I had tonight with a few friends though with the new waitress. We were told "we sucked" for finishing the keg that had maybe two glasses of flat beer left in it, probably because it meant the waitress had to do some actual work to hook a new one up. The tables were all dirty and covered in empty glasses, pitchers, and wing buckets, we cleaned our own. No music playing. All the tv's set to The Amazing Race which led us to believe she had no care of even trying to set them to any sports channel. Really, this place was amazing and a great place to go to with friends, now with this new waitress I would turn right around at the door as soon as I see...

Yet again disappointed by the dedication and service of this location. Love the wings! But completely unreliable. Shows of Google they open today at 12 noon. So I placed order online. Got confirmation that it would be ready at 12:20 pm. Showed up at 12:20 and the place wasn’t even open! Peeked through the window and no one even in kitchen. I waited 10 minutes in my car while calling 5 times with no response and restaurant did not open. Finally gave up and called to order wings elsewhere. But the charge from this order is still on my credit card. I can’t even reach anyone or leave a message. Really disappointed. They better refund me.

Update: 2 weeks later and my credit card was charged and never refunded, despite the fact that the owner said he would refund . We had to call the credit card company to dispute the charge. We have called again to try to reach the owner to get this charge removed. Don’t trust this owner. Terrible...
