Awesome traditional Cabane au Sucre experience! The staff were all very friendly - no issues with our limited French! They are bilingual but also patient as we practice our grade school French. Food was great - rustic and traditional flavours kept coming as we asked. Stand outs were the cretons, salad and pickled veg, the super soft eggs and the crispy ‘bacon’ - I’ve had criss d’oreilles and like these much more!! Of course the tarte au sucre was stellar and waking out to make our own maple taffy was a fitting end. Merci beaucoup!

Amazing sugar shack. It's small so you need to reserve if you're a group but worth the wait if they're full. The service is fast and courteous. They make sure you get everything you need. Loved the omelet and the crispy pork rinds. The maple syrup is to die for. The place is clean. There's live traditional folk music. Had a really good time and of course a full belly 🙂

Vrai beurre. Petit pain frais. Table propre. Paysage panoramique.

My favorite experience thus far in all of French Canada! We came upon this gem randomly. Upon the ski Hill is a cabin. We walked in and were about to walk right out when we saw a tiny room with some elderly fun groups drinking in the morning. It felt like we stumbled into a private party. We realized then this was not the whole place. We were lead through a door into a large banquet hall, with great decor. We were served dish by dish, all delicious great meals. It was unlike anything we've ever experienced. Afterwards, we went to another cabin door to make ourselves some...

Given COVID-19 Sugar Shacks this year are limited to ordering by phone and picking up your meal on site. When eating in, we are accustomed to all you can eat buffet style menu. Although the quality of the food in the box is good, the quantity is below expectation. Soup for two barely fills the bowl half way. Absence of pancakes and two pieces of sugar pie that could not be sliced any thinner. I recommend this Sugar Shack for in place dining, not for takeout, unless you...
