If the food wasn’t as good as it was, it would have been a 2 or 3 rating. The service was terribly slow. We weren’t even acknowledged when we walked in.

If I hadn’t ordered an orange juice that I had to pay for, we would have left without ordering our breakfast because we were waiting so long for the waitress who seemed to be doing nothing. And when she was doing something she was extremely annoyed to be doing it.

The waitress stood at the kitchen window ignoring the people in the restaurant the entire time we were there. We are pretty patient people when we go out to eat, so if we were annoyed I can’t imagine how others felt.

The waitress claimed there was a really big order she was dealing with (there was no big group of people there) and the kitchen had messed up some orders so she was also dealing with that. Even if that’s the case, don’t throw your coworkers under the bus.

  • five stars for the food tho. The bacon and ham were so good and the home fries were amazing. Decent price and quantity of food.

Note - they are cash only but do have a cash machine in...

Normally I like to support family run businesses, unfortunately the experience and service was not what we were expecting for the breakfast barn.

The service took longer than we hoped but the place was busy so it was expected as there were only 2 servers.

The low rating is completely based on the fact that the biggest disappointment came to the food. Even though the portion was large, the quality of the food was low. Worst was that when the food arrive, not only did it not taste good, it was served cold. Ultimately, the server failed to ask how our meal was, so did not get a chance to provide our feedback.

Given the amount of great locations to eat in the area, I do not recommend choosing the breakfast barn. Please note that this is a cash only location, with an ATM...

This is a local favourite so I thought I would try it out. Food was average for bacon and eggs. I asked for rye, no butter, got brown, buttered. No biggie. It was the service that bothered me. I am not sure if it because we weren’t regulars, but we were waved to a table when we came in, it took some time to drinks, questions were answered with ‘ya’. We had 2 people serving us, neither smiled, or provided more than a one-word answer. It wasn’t an inviting atmosphere in my opinion. The reason for the 3 star for atmosphere- cute place, fits the barn decor but the cowbell on the door was loud every time someone went in and out. This may not bother some people, but for those with any audio sensitivity, or prefer conversation during breakfast, don’t sit...

On a sleepy Thursday morning, when the rest of the town was quiet, we stopped by to get some breakfast to go. The first thing that hit me was how busy the place was, and most patrons seemed to be locals. We were served by a very helpful waitress, and ordered a couple of sandwiches to go. They were ready in the promised ten minutes and we sat out under a big tree off the parking lot to eat. My grilled cheese and my partner’s clubhouse were both good, but it is the fries that stood out. Clearly made in-house from actual potatoes, and they were fried perfectly. And boy they aren’t stingy! We had enough fries for the two of us and our dog, plus leftovers for a snack at our next pit stop. Highly recommended.

Breakfast Barn is my favourite joint in town. My spouse and I decided to try someplace new for brunch. Despite today's snow storms, their cozy little ”barn” was open for ready-to-serve. Our waitress was great and very attentive. That said, be aware that you pay for coffee refills (it says so on the menu, but I missed that part). I ordered my eggs over easy, and they cooked them to perfection. The bacon was thick, the breakfast sausage was some of the best we ever had, and the potatoes served with onions hit the spot. Props to the chef, she seemed sweet, and you could tell she cooked with love. 10/10 would recommend Breakfast Barn!

Always a pleasure to eat here. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. Everything is made to order and delicious. Family-run, home-style, cash only. The "small" breakfast was $8.99 and filled the whole plate. Two eggs, sunny-side up, generous portion of well-done bacon, home-fries with onions (you can order w/o onions) I like mine well-done. You can specify how you like everything cooked.
