My pizza toppings were put on poorly. I ordered an xl pizza and the crust was between 2-2½ inches all around. Not even the sauce was put on around that area. I'm really appalled that they actually prepared this pizza for me and decided to send it out thinking it was fine. I even paid $4 for an extra topping and there was definitely not extra put on. And fyi when I called to order I first asked if their restaurant was busy and they said it was rather "dead" so since it was very late (12:15 am) I decided order. Besides that issue. The pizza wasn't very good. It tasted nothing like the old Venice House restaurant on central even though it says it's "Venice house". Regret ordering....
UPDATE I called the next day and spoke with the manager GEORGE who had a very salty and sassy attitude about my complaint. When I asked to have my pizza replaced he went off about how I was "trying to blackmail him" with my review. He said that me posting a review was "a really weird thing to do". He also admitted the the person who has been making the bad pizzas lately was a young boy who he has had to talk with every other day to tell him about the complaints and that he needs to do better. But obviously the boy has not been taking this to heart and the owner GEORGE has been letting these unsatisfactory items be sent out to paying customers even though he is fully aware of the issue. That's what I PERSONALLY think is the weird thing here and not my making a justified review about a terrible pizza. After seeing other reviews saying the same thing I posted about I thought I should personally Inform a manager or whatnot about these occurrences because it is becoming a constant complaint amongst other paying customers, he quickly informed me that he knew EXACTLY who I was and that he reads the Venice House Pizza Google reviews every single morning. This guy needs to take some business courses and learn to not be so snappy and rude to constructive criticism. What a goof. Being fully aware of consistent problems and not doing anything to help make a change....
Read moreOn friday june 7th i placed an order at 11am for delivery to my place of work. I was told the order would be there for 11:30am. At 11:45 i called in to see if the driver had gotten lost trying to find our business. I was connected to a manager and he proceeded to tell me that the delivery driver that was supposed to bring me my order grabbed half of the order, got into a fight with some kitchen staff and left. His whereabouts unknown. He then offered me 2 options. #1 i could wait while another order was made and would be delivered within 45minutes (12:30pm) which is the end of my lunch break, or #2 We can just cancel the order and forget about it. As i did not have the luxury to wait for a second order to be produced i was forced to take option 2. The was no offer of a discount on my next purchase or any type of compensation for the bad service. Pizza and service at the this 2nd Ave location is horrible it's not the same recipe as "venice house" it's expensive and slapped together like a 10 year old kid made it. Hour and 20 mins delivery time and the wrong pizza and cold.. They attempted to send right order the next day. Was so much cheese that the pizza wasn't cooked threw. Hardly any sauce was cut all retarded.. There was one big pile of toppings in the middle but none anywhere else on the pie.. So I talk to a manger a few days later says his staff is only getting 11$ an hour and to bare with it and give them a break.
