Iâve been coming here a couple years and after last Saturday, I wonât be returning.
My boyfriend was visiting from out of country & I insisted we make a stop at Daydream. Wish we skipped it.
First, all of their cream filled donuts used to be stellar! I bragged to my boyfriend these donuts were hefty & id never had donuts with so much cream! Disappointed to see that the 3 Boston Cream & 2 chocolate cream were drastically cut back for filling. Shrinkflation at its finest, and thatâs really too bad.
But what really is stopping me from coming back was the service. A younger blonde woman with a nose piercing was horribly rude. We were trying to decide what donuts we wanted. We werenât quick enough, even though we let others go ahead of us. When we were ready, she grabbed a single bag like we were getting one donut, I said we would likely be getting a box (not rudely either) and the worker just turned sour and very meanly said âI need to know HOW MANY YOUâRE GETTING THEN!â She wasnât even giving us a chance to give our order fully before this happened.
I suffer from PTSD anxiety and I just shut down. I went to the back wall and said Iâd come back to order. I froze in the moment and couldnât count how many we wanted. I mumbled to my boyfriend what I wanted. I avoided looking at her the rest of the time. It was so uncomfortable and my panic set in. I needed to get out of there. My boyfriend agreed this person was extremely rude as well and their actions were uncalled for.
Came and read other reviews and I see this is a regular thing from Daydream ⊠so itâs more than just an associate having a âbad day.â This is a person who shouldnât be front of house.
You lost a long standing customer, Daydream. Get your...
Read moreUPDATE: The treats are still great, but this was the first time Iâve experienced such awful service here. A younger blonde woman with a septum ring made my friend and me feel like a burden just for being there (sighing, rolling her eyes, and snapping at us). After going through other reviews, itâs clear this isnât an isolated issue. Poor service is a dealbreaker for me. No matter how good the treats are, I wonât spend my money or recommend a place that makes customers feel unwelcome or lesser-than.
Nice bright restauraunt. Food and donuts are always delicious. So far everything I've tried is worth trying... their donuts obviously. They're very flavorful and large. I cut mine in half and can eat it in 2 sittings. Their soup is hearty, sandwiches are a fair size with satisfying amount of fixings, their pull apart that has bacon and cheese is flavorful and moist. The picture is their breakfast bomb which has ham, cheese and hashbrown. Can't say I have a favorite. I just enjoy trying all new things here haha! I find it best to go down early--later in the day the options are pretty slim. I usually dig in too quickly so I'm lacking photos đ€Ł Not a lot of parking. This are gets pretty busy so you'll be circling the block if you want parking spot close. Lots of parking in the surrounding area though with a...
Read moreWe have be coming to back to day dream donuts regularly! I fell in love with the sugar cinnamon donut! I decided to take my grandmother as she loves donuts! We went in and they were quite busy, waited for our time to order and ordered up our donuts, and went up to pay, my grandmother started looking at the flavour oils they have at the front counter and had asked the employee what the were, the employee clearly annoyed responded to her in a panicky and frustrated tone, meanwhile another lady, maybe other owner, was getting frustrated because my gramma was looking at the flavour oils, saying they need to hurry up because they have other customers to serve to another employee not realizing I was with them, it seemed as if every employee was in a bad mood, We will not be returning due to to poor service and bad attitudes! Reading through the reviews it seems this is quite common! Not a way to treat those supporting...
