A group of 4 and we chose to come here. We ordered Chicken Jalfrezi and Mixed vegetable with Tandoori Naans *Chicken Jalfrezi-was large chunks of breast meat that was so dry and seemed frozen and dropped into a gravy that was far from a Jalfrezi. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. *Mixed Vegetables-again made from a packet of frozen vegetables quickly seasoned with spices and barely simmered or cooked. *Tandoori Naans- Not the best as over done a tad bit. Crumbled when trying to eat it with the 2 curries.
Sorry to write this review but in my catering career would never ever serve frozen chunks of white meat that generally is dry! And this guess won the award on dryness!! Jalfrezi is the best when cooked with dark meat!!! Frozen Mixed veggies can use this but just not give a ‘tadka’. Need to make a Qormah and then add the veges to simmer n cook down. Was an disappointing evening! Hope take this as a positive review as for sure there’s a lot of room for...
Read moreHands down, the best Bengali/Indian restaurant we've ever been to! The food was exceptional—each dish bursting with authentic flavors and cooked with meticulous care. What truly set this place apart was the use of house-made spices, not the generic packet masalas that make everything taste the same elsewhere. Every item we tried had its own distinct character, rich in flavor yet perfectly balanced—not overwhelmingly spicy, just soulfully satisfying.
The staff were incredibly warm and courteous, making the entire experience even more memorable. We were visiting from New Jersey, and I can confidently say this restaurant outshines every desi spot we've tried in both NJ and NY. A must...
Read moreThe food was absolutely amazing, very authentic and full of flavour. Every dish we tried was a standout. The lamb biryani was rich, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The lamb jalfrezi had a wonderful depth of flavour with just the right amount of heat. The chicken tikka masala was creamy, flavourful, and satisfying, and the garlic naan was soft, fresh, and perfect for scooping up every last bit.
We finished with gulab jamun, which was melt-in-your-mouth soft and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet like at many other places.
Service was friendly and attentive, the ambience was warm and inviting, and the prices were very reasonable. We were simply impressed. Highly...
