Sushi Taxi - Station St-Georges — Restaurant in Quebec

My wife and I visited the restaurant on a day trip to Saint George’s from Maine. Throughout our time together, my wife and I have always been in search of good sushi, as my wife absolutely loves it. So, we have had our fair share of experiences of sushi from all over the United States.

I can say, without a doubt, this was the best sushi establishment we have ever visited. We came early in the day and were the only ones in the restaurant. The staff members were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They even put on English music over the speakers (nice touch).

As all good sushi, it takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to prep the order, so that was no surprise. We actually appreciate that part, because it shows much care is taken with the preparation of the food. Sushi is a very precise dish and steps need to be followed carefully to ensure safety and quality. So, if anyone is upset about the wait time, just know that if your sushi order comes out quickly, it’s usually poor quality and/or unsafe to consume. So again, we appreciated the attention to detail and the time we waited for it, as the sushi served to us at this Sushi Taxi was of exceptional quality.

I expected to pay much more for sushi of this quality. I could’ve been charged $100 a plate and I wouldn’t have protested.

There is no doubt that my wife and I will be returning to this location again. We will be telling our friends about it, I suggest everyone else...

I'm giving 2 stars for the service.This is not my first time going to the place as me and partner really liked it and the sushis are amazing. We went to Sushi Taxi at St George on Sept 29, 2022 around lunch time. By the time that our order came, the waitress just literally put it on our table and left. We don't have chopsticks or spoon/fork on our table or even plates so how can we eat the sushis. So, my partner had to go to the counter and ask for chopsticks, plates and even sauce for the sushis so we can eat. She did not even offer some water to us😑. Je n'avais pas vraiment pensé que les sushis seraient plus petits et exécutés avec moins de finesse que ce à quoi je suis habituée. J'aurais donné que 3 étoiles si ça avait été la première fois. Je le saurai et commanderai à la carte si je commande un autre dimanche. J'imagine aussi qu'en début d'année, les fournisseurs sont moins "sur la coche".
