I've been to this location in the past, but I avoided it because I felt unwelcome. It felt like a toxic work environment and I was treated like an inconvenience. I haven't been here in 2 years because of it.
I regret giving it another shot. Everything seemed great at first, and the worker who served us seemed super friendly. We were initially super happy with the service, and both tipped (which we now regret doing because of how rudely we were treated by him after). This worker sounded to possibly be East Indian (I'm not 100% sure of his ethnicity and I don't like even bringing it up, I'm only mentioning it to identify him as we're unsure of what his name was).
After receiving our order, we drove home. I ordered a meatball sub, and upon opening it, neither of us could see the meatballs or marinara sauce. The sub was otherwise beautifully made and full of vegetables. Whenever I get meatball subs, the meatballs and marinara sauce are usually clearly visible and overflowing out of the sub - but we couldn't see any meatballs or indication of the sauce, so we both assumed they forgot to add it. We've had minor mistakes from this drive-thru in the past, so we just assumed that's all it was, not a big deal.
We live very close and promptly returned. The girl who greeted us was friendly seemed concerned and wanted to fix the issue. She spoke on her headset to describe the issue to co-workers, then awkwardly asked if we wanted her to throw the sub away for us.
No problem. We brought the sub with us to exchange it, so we handed it over. Instead of throwing it out, she left it on the counter top by the cash, took the details of the order to remake it, and let the other worker know. We both noticed that she didn't throw it out (I'd have assumed she would have due to COVID and cross-contamination concerns). Pre-COVID days, I'd normally just have requested to have the meatballs and sauce added to same sub to avoid waste and effort.I'd have preferred to be asked to look through it myself in front of them to inspect, and maybe have just requested a side of sauce and return home once I found out we were mistaken)
The same guy who served us came up to the window, grabbed the sub to inspect it, and then shoved it out the window, looked angry and started pointing at the sub and condescendingly started saying "So you said there's no meatballs, huh?" while staring at us blankly (to be honest, from the passenger seat I absolutely couldn't really see the meatballs, there seemed to be no marina sauce on a MARINARA meatball sub (or minimal, at best) - based on the second sub I received, I'm assuming the meatballs were pressed extra deeply into the bread because the top part of the bread was rounded and very thin, which made it hard to see and the dry meatballs blended in...
...anyways, after several seconds of awkward silence after scolding us over our mistake with the sub out the window, he annoyingly said he'd make us a new one, rolled his eyes and made sure to be dramatic enough to let us know how annoyed he was. We were both shocked, as he seemed super friendly at first, but became condescending and made us feel embarrassed and stupid. He eventually came back with a new sub that was noticeably lighter in weight and had a fraction of the vegetables as compared to the original sub, and again zero marinara sauce with dry meatballs (despite wanting it with the sauce). This felt like his "F you" to us coupled with his terrible attitude... all over a reasonable mistake after having tipped. I regret not asking for a refund after the treatment over this misunderstanding, as I was uncomfortable eating the sub and worried he spit in it or something.
I've spent years working in customer service (food, retail, hospitality, supervisory, etc) and this was NOT the proper way to manage the situation. It's totally okay to point out that we were mistaken, but you NEVER go out of your way to make sure the customer feels like a stupid piece of trash while making a dramatic display of how annoyed you are. This kid needs to be retrained. I will...
Read moreTerrible experiences at this location repeatedly. Stale bread, white tomatoes, brown lettuce. Staff members act too busy to deal with customers. I got home with an expensive sub last night and the bun was so stale I had to throw it in the garbage and I transferred the ingredients (white tomato, limp brown lettuce, and some meat, at least I think it was meat-who knows at this location) to a couple slices of bread so I at least had some dinner. This place would serve you your boots hidden in a bun if they could get away with it, and they'd overcharge you for that as well I'm sure. I'm done, I'll drive further for a better location that may make these ridiculous prices seem worth it, or maybe just drop American Subway...
Read moreI don’t usually post reviews but I am sitting in restaurant eating my six inch sandwich. I had order a a chicken sandwich, only wanted two veggies. Green peppers and onions. The “sandwich artist” put a few green peppers and a few onions on. I asked for more, was very polite. Was immediately told by the cashier that the policy is to not get “extra” I explained that I only like two toppings, not ten like a lot of others. She told me I could put lettuce, tomato, cucumber on, to which I had already explained that I don’t. She then offered me a free cookie. I asked if I could trade the cookie for peppers and onions. No….., Left the cookie, just want extra veggies 🤷♀️ Will definitely be the last...
