I heard nothing but Punjabi from the moment I entered until I left. They put the one caucasian young lady at the register whilst they all shouted instructions to eachother in Punjabi for drive through orders. One lady was trying to get a refund for a double charge and commented only one of employee seemed to speak English. I asked the cashier if she was comfortable being the only one speaking English and she shrugged uncomfortably and understandably. I asked for the manager who was not there until later. Instead I spoke to someone who Appeared to be the senior member and told him that there needed to be English or French spoken here and that it was offensive to the one English only staff member. He said she was not offended and apologized that I was offended. I told him it is highly unlikely the one young staff member knew any Punjabi at all and that it was offensive if she doesn’t understand anything her coworkers are saying. I am shocked. This kind of environment is not something I would ever work in nor come and visit as a customer. The manager needs to address this immediately.
I just drove 11 days across the States from Vancouver area and was so happy to be back in Canada and at our beloved Tim Hortons again for coffee and our favourite donut. I as sorely disappointed with this atmosphere. Come on Tim Hortons! …what is your policy on communication in the workplace? Because this...
Read moreIt was a huge miss by the staff, and a very odd experience at the Tim Hortons just off the highway in Quispamsis. My children and I went into Tim Hortons to use the restroom halfway through a long drive, and afterwards we went up to the counter to order drinks and snacks. We were the only customers in the restaurant. There were 3 employees behind the counter, 1 on drive thru, one preparing drinks and one stacking coffee filters or something. Not one acknowledged us or came to take our order. A 4th employee came out from the back and I thought she must be working the counter but she walked past us as if we weren't there also. I couldn't believe not one of the employees acknowledged us, even to let us know they'd be a minute. After 3 to 4 minutes of them pretending we were invisible I said to my children that they must only be serving the drive thru today and we walked out the door, got into our car, proceeded through the drive thru and were then promptly served. Of course the 1 remaining doughnut one of my kids wanted wasn't available by the time we drove around to the speaker. As a professional in a customer facing role I know first hand the importance of acknowledging a customer, even if you can't assist them at that moment the least you can do is smile and let them know you or someone will be right there to help them. It's basic human decency...
Read moreMost ridiculous service of all time. Came in to order a sausage wrap, the cashier checked to make sure they still had scrambled eggs and they did. We waited 10 minutes for the wrap, thinking maybe they were making more hash browns, but after 15 minutes it was just getting a bit ridiculous, nobody came to tell us why we were waiting so long. So I asked a lady making coffee what was taking so long, she went and asked Kaur, who came and very unhelpfully told us they were out of scrambled egg. So after 15 minutes of being told nothing, waiting, we were told there was no egg after all? I had to prompt her to give us a refund, after the first refund Kaur literally just walked away and left the other lady to do my refund, who was just trying to be helpful but couldn't process the refund, so she had to go back and get Kaur again to do the refund. We got no apology for the wait, and she clearly didn't care even a little bit about how long we waited, their lack of attention, and overall poor customer service and service management. I'm not one to write reviews, but we were honestly just left so baffled. I understand busy days, I work in the service industry, but I would be MORTIFIED, if someone was treated as poorly as...
