I ordered beef and tomato fried rice and almond chicken for takeout lunch. The almond chicken was crispy and tasty. The beef and tomato was diced so fine it was hard to tell what was beef and what was tomato. The sweet n sour sauce ruined my whole lunch. Indescript thick sauce with no flavor. Almost tasted like oil or fat was poured on my food. Tried adding soyasauce to make it better. But just made it salty, thick tasteless sauce. I ended up throwing away what was in my dish. I haven't ordered Chinese take out in a few years due to the pandemic and my first order back was awful. I give two stars for the crispy almond chicken. But that is all. This was my favorite place for Chinese food, 7-8 years ago when I lived in The Hat. I hadn't had it since, just ordered online tonight and ohhhhh man am I a happy foodie right now!! The Hot & Sour soup is delicious, as is the rest of the menu to be honest! I also tried out the Honey Shrimp with Walnuts for the first time....YUM!! Been ordering here for a few years now and was always happy until today. First of all, they forgot my dry garlic boneless pork, phoned and wants me to just accept a credit, I didnt want a credit so I asked to get it delivered which they did. The spring rolls smells bad and tasted rancid as well as the sweet chilli sauce. It totally ruined our appetite. The other dishes tasted ok, not as good as it was before.
