Stopped in for some brunch on the way home from camping (this previous Sunday.) immediately the service was off. No greeting when we walked in. We asked to sit on the patio and the server didn’t bother to walk us out or give us menus. 15 minutes later the server came by with the menus. I should mention there were maybe 2 occupied tables in the entire restaurant aside from us. Fast forward to ordering food. My friend asked the rest of the table if we were ready to order. Server cut him off and said “IM not ready yet.” We kinda sat there speechless for a moment. “Okay, NOW I’m ready.” After two of the people in our party ordered, my partner began to tell her his order. Again, she cut him off with “WAIT, I’m not finished writing down their orders.” Food came and went. It was fine, but mine and my friends orders were wrong. We both ordered the classic benny, and when the food arrived, we were given bacon benny’s. We shrugged because it’s not a huge deal, not far off from what we ordered. After finishing our food the server was nowhere to be found for over 15 minutes so we went inside to pay, as we were tired and wanted to hit the road. She then claimed that I indeed ordered the bacon benny, when I know that wasn’t the case. My friend and I ordered the same thing (classic benny). But again I shrugged it off and paid the extra. Just an extremely underwhelming and unwelcoming experience. Not in Redwater often, but I will surely never be back...
Read moreWe went last night to have a nice meal out...Kicks was wrong place for that. We sat for about 10 minutes, till I gave up waiting for 1 of the 2 girls behind the bar to give us service. Talking and laughing with their friends is more important. I had to get up and go to the bar and ask for menus and our drinks. When drinks finally came I asked the waitress if it's new owners or not. She asked why...so I told her I've been coming to Kicks for years and tonight is the worst service I've encountered. Her response was that I'm rude and there are other places to eat in town if I don't like her service. Wife was angry with that comment and wanted to speak to manager...who was to busy to talk to her. To busy???...there was 1 other table with 4 people and 1 guy at another table by this time. The young girl waitress with long dark hair was right...there are other places to eat in town. I've never been to the Rainbow wok and grill but that's where we ended up going. That is where I'll go for now on. Kicks has gone downhill...
Read moreHad to have gotten new owners and I was right! We would go there on a regular basis, weekly to be exact, sometimes twice a week. Service was great and the food portions were large. Kicks was great. Hence - was. New owner has gone cheap, does not care about the customer, only himself. Soup and sandwich is no longer the potato soup, it is a crusty hamburger with deformed corn and watered down, it was gross! Sandwich had barely any toppings and is no longer the thick juicy clubhouse sandwich. Steak sandwich is a joke, a tiny piece of bread that is just buttered and the steak was tiny like a chicken nugget. Beef dip the bread the bread was not toasty, stale and it was like hamburger on bread. New owner - you destroyed this place! Its no wonder the locals no longer want to go to your establishment. Cheap, cheap, cheap and your food now sucks! Going to Rainbow like everyone else is now. I will NEVER go to this place ever again. Its...
