We love the Caraway Grill at down town. But it was already closed in the evening and we were craving some Indian cuisine on Diwali night. So we figured it would be wise to try this branch. Worst mistake! We ordered: Garlic Naan, Paneer Butter Masala, Steelhead Trout Curry, Chicken Seekh Kebab. We sincerely wish there was one item we could single out as decent. Alas! Every one of them was exceptionally atrocious! Even the chutney served with the kebab, no idea how they managed that. The Paneer Butter Masala was nothing what you expect when an Indian dish says “Masala”. Might as well call it Paneer Butter Maple given how ridiculously sweet it was. In restaurants serving Indian cuisine its common to ask for preferred spice level, I never realised how important that is till yesterday. They didn’t ask and served this super sweet disaster. The curry of the fish was watery sweet. Naans were half decent. Worst would be the chicken seekh kebab. Can’t pin point what it was but something pungent was so above proportion that it was WAY overshooting the taste of chicken itself! Brings me no joy when out of courtesy they ask “How was it” and I have to blurt it out exactly how it was. There are times when things are that remarkably poor that you just have to speak your mind. Well at least honest negative opinion is more constructive than fake compliments. So may be start there.

Came in today in for channa some bhatura. The waitress had no name tag. Greeted with smile so that’s good. Food was just okay! Wasn’t warm enough so that was first. It was a combo so got fountain drink. Only thing was the waitress brought fountain drink before food so I asked if she could bring it with food to which she abruptly replied “YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME EARLIER” I never had any waitress reply in this tone. Could have said “Yes or Sure” It’s a fountain drink. Not like it was poured out of a bottle that it would go bad. Such a disrespectful tone she had. Not only that, during my meal not once she asked if I needed anything else or food was good? EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE experience. I have been to other Caraway grills and never experienced this before. I Ain’t coming back! I don’t even Recommend EAST location.

If there would have been 0 star, I would have definately given that. I really got frustrated after seeing the food. I ordered the food for my girl friend from UBER. I ordered Paneer butter masala and 3 Garlic naans. They sent me a box full of gravy with just TWO CUBES of Paneer in it and charging $18 for that dish with just 2 cubes. I mean, ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUS?? Also, I already mentioned in notes that please make sure that Paneer butter masala is not sweet but it was damn ridiculously sweet. They should name instead Paneer Sugar Masala..I also mentioned naans not to be thick. But they were thick and looked like they were made of something rubber material. They were having so much elasticity like rubber. 100% NOT RECOMMENDED

Caraway Grill in Regina is a fantastic dining destination that combines excellent food with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Known for its authentic Indian cuisine, this restaurant stands out as one of the city's best spots for a flavorful meal. Whether you're a fan of spicy dishes or prefer milder options, Caraway Grill has something to please every palate.

The food quality is exceptional, with every dish prepared fresh and packed with rich, vibrant flavors. From the creamy butter chicken to the tender lamb curry and perfectly cooked naan, the menu offers a wide array of choices that highlight the diversity of Indian cuisine. Vegetarian options are equally impressive, ensuring everyone in your group can find something to enjoy. The portions are generous, providing excellent value for the price.

For those with gluten-free dietary needs, Caraway Grill is an excellent choice. The restaurant takes gluten-free concerns seriously, ensuring that there are plenty of options available to accommodate dietary restrictions. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, happy to guide diners toward safe and delicious choices. Many of the menu staples, including rice-based dishes, curries, and tandoori options, are naturally gluten-free, making it easy for everyone to enjoy a meal without compromise.

The service at Caraway Grill is friendly and efficient, with staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to provide recommendations. Even during busy hours, the team maintains a professional and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

While the restaurant does not accept reservations, the casual and relaxed atmosphere makes it an excellent spot for a pre-movie meal or a casual dinner with friends. Located conveniently for those planning an evening out, it’s an ideal place to meet before heading to a nearby theater.

Caraway Grill is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality Indian cuisine in a friendly setting. Its combination of outstanding food, good service, and convenient location make it a standout choice in Regina. Just be sure to arrive early, as the no-reservations policy means it can...

We ordered take out from the East location tonight and while the food was good, we quickly found out that the food was not gluten free as was assured to us. My husband is celiac and we were assured that the food will be gluten free. We found out that the okra was deep fried in the same fryer as wheat products. We couldn’t really trust their word when they said the other items (all curries) were made gluten free when they assured the okra dish was gluten free. Many establishments unfortunately do not understand cross contamination and the risks involved. They cannot claim gluten free if there is cross contamination. We will see how sick my husband gets tonight.

EDIT I have tried reaching out to this establishment via email to further discuss the situation. I never received a reply so I will amend my review by sharing what I had emailed them. They state that my review was false and that they take precautions to prevent cross contamination for allergies. Well, it was their staff that told us the fryers also have gluten in them.

After realizing that the okra tasted deep fried (he said it was too delicious to not be deep fried), my husband called the Regina east end location back and explained the situation to the lady who answered. She told him the okra was deep fried and he asked if it was cooked in the same oil as gluten-containing food. She put him on hold and spoke to the chef, returning to say that yes, the frier is not dedicated gluten free, that the food was cross-contaminated, and that she was sorry for the mistake.

While this may acceptable for some people, it’s not for a person with celiac disease. Was I write this, 6 days after eating this meal, my husband is still feeling the effects of eating gluten. We have nothing against the restaurant, in fact, we have eaten there a few times before without any issues and have recommended the restaurant to others in the past. Seeing as this is a health related issue, we thought we should...
