Went there on Sep 14 to get a blizzard, this is what happened:
Fact 1: the guy at the drive-through window seems very confused about the register in front of him, it was like they just took over this restaurant and they didnāt have any proper training.
Fact 2: when I showed him my QR code from my DQ APP he informed me that they didnāt have a scanner like this is a restaurant from the 80s. He even confirmed if I go inside the restaurant they wouldnāt be able to scan my code at the front. He seemed very proud of this situation as I didnāt hear a single āsorryā throughout our entire conversation, as if this was none of their business.
Fact 3: I remember employees at DQ used to wear food handling gloves when touching other peopleās food and ice cream, why these guys all bare-handed?
Fact 4: after I ordered, the first guy just straight out LEFT, there were no cars behind me or no customers at the restaurant, guess that was the reason. About five minutes waiting another guy finally came back with my ice cream, he gave me the blizzard. When I asked for a receipt so I could scan it myself with my app, he gave me the wrong receipt without the bar code, itās like a miracle. When I turned back to the window right after the guy was gone into the wind and no one was standing at the drive-through window or anywhere I could see for almost a minute until I gave up and drive away, a little creepy to be honest.
Fact 5: couldn't help but notice this restaurant is 100% workers from one particular country everyoneās talking about. I'm not against our immigration policy or racist but this does seem a little bit unfair to the locals.
Fact 6: last but not least, I ordered a medium blizzard, not a small one buddy. Thank you for helping me control my sugar intake. But that was also the sweetest blizzard Iāve ever had in my entire life so what do I know, first time in my life I couldn't finish an ice cream. Next time please, put the instructions in huge black letters just on the wall where everyone can see. I couldnāt find any of your guys on that day I guess I just post what happened here.
To sum up, quite an experience. guess this is to be the new norms...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreso someone wanna tell me why the poutine went up in price yet they give you BARELY any fries? why would i wanna pay $8 for 4 fries drowning in gravy? like this is why i stopped coming here. any other location gives enough fries to actually fill the bowl. here? nope. also the fries are extremely hard like how long have they been sitting there? gross.
also everyone who works there (except one nice older lady) seem like they hate life and donāt wanna be here. like okay fine but youāre in a service industry the least you could do is be nice.
if i could rate 0 i would⦠why are yall SO CHINSY on your food? like even the other day my friend got fries from there and they donāt even fill the fry holder all the way. there was like 6 fries total. ridiculous. workers acting like they are personally losing money adding more fries. itās a million dollar company yall will survive filling up the container with fries like it should...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, even though I wasted an excessive amount of money, I feel confident in my decision never to spend another cent at a Dairy Queen. The experience started with staff who couldn't understand the rather basic order, food was cold and stale, and even the ice cream cones which are quite literally iconic, looked nothing like a DQ cone. The facility was dirty with old soda drips down the cabinets. Food quality was abhorrent and the service was pathetic. So again, even though I absolutely threw away money on the worst food I've had in a long time, at least I can walk away knowing my family will not miss out. Gone are the days of decent quality or any semblance of...
