McDonald's — Restaurant in Renfrew

Let me tell you a little story. I came here after a nearby cycling race and I assumed I could get a quick bite to eat. So, I walk in, there are about eight people on the electronic queue board above the cash. I figure it might be a little bit of a wait, but I'm fine with it. The cashier is obviously new, and she can't find the stuff we ordered on the machine well. Now our order is placed and we're put in line as number 706. An older man in front of us ordered an espresso. After about five minutes, only one person in line has been served, and I'm eighth in queue. After this amount of time, around three people should have been served. What the staff was doing, is they were serving the drive-thru with priority, which I guess makes sense, but when a new car ordered, they prioritized them over somebody who has been waiting in line for ten minutes. After about fifteen minutes, the man who ordered the espresso still hasn't got his order, and he is evidently annoyed but trying to keep it in. By now, the staff members are squabbling amongst themselves, arguing over who should do what and that everybody was tired since they 'just woke up', even though it was past ten. The man finally got the espresso, and there were now another eight people in the line. Somebody who was queued after us was served in front of us, even though they had a bigger order. When we received our order (thank God they got it correct), the place hadn't died down one bit. Awful staff, would...

Renfrew location specifically. We stopped in to dine in, regretted it. I'm not the tidiest person, but this location was filthy. The table looked fine but the floor hadn't been swept all day. Might not matter to some, but with a young kid you notice it. I'd rather she play on the grass outside than on that gross floor.

The new "updated" restaurant looks nice but makes dine-in feel unwanted. There is like ZERO menu above the teller, just two huge screens with ads (not even the rotating screens with various menu selections that we've all gotten used to.) Teller (manager likely) just tried to upsell to their new crispy chicken when I asked for the "value menu double cheese burger", then he put it in as a standard double cheese until I remembered the exact name of it (Mc Double, only one slice of cheese but like 75cents cheaper, which adds up when you are ordering 2 for a number of people), then he rolled his eyes and fixed it. But without a menu you have to remember and guess, and be upsold expensive options.

The self ordering kiosks are around the corner in the aisle area. I've used them before, but these feel disconnected and pushed to the side. I guess this is to limit contact, but not inviting in the least... lined up along the wall, like standing at a urinal.

Ordered through the mobile app. Went through the drive thru, gave my number, the lady told me they didnt have nuggets. Ok, so i swapped it out for a 1/4 lb meal. Got to the 1st window, the lady said mobile order? I said yes, she told me to move up to the next window. And this is where it went downhill. The young girl, Robin, didnt have any record of my order. She told me that i basically was lying( and why would i wait in the line up with the code up on my phone??). Told her what we had ordered, she brought me a hamburger and one fry. No, i ordered 2 McDoubles, 2 small fries, 2 fruitopias and the 1/4 lb meal. Brings the burgers back. I had special ordered them, as my grandson doesn’t like anything but ketchup. Both had pickles, onions the whole works. At this point i have been holding the line up for over 10 minutes. Finally another lady comes over and hands me a bag. Fries were stone cold. I imagine they would be after all that faffing about. Another lady comes over, and tells me to pull around, she is making me new fries. Ok, so i pull around, wait over 5 more minutes. She comes out with my order, taking great pains to show me the double burgers ( wrapped). Fine. I get home to find, that A fries are still cold- I live on Barnet, so what 2 minute drive? And B the double burgers were STILL wrong....
