My recent visit to Sector 7 left me with mixed feelings as I navigated through an evening that oscillated between culinary satisfaction and glaring service discrepancies. The ambiance and menu suggested a promising dining experience, but unfortunately, the uneven service overshadowed the potential positives.
Upon entering, my party and I were promptly seated, and our orders were taken without a hitch. However, as the minutes ticked away, it became apparent that our orders were progressing at different paces. While most of the table received their meals promptly and without issue, there was one unfortunate diner among us who became the unwitting victim of a service mishap.
As the rest of us enjoyed our dishes, one member of our party sat patiently, watching as the others dug into their meals. The server, seemingly unbothered by the oversight, did little to address the situation. This solo diner's experience went from anticipation to disappointment as the rest of us tried to prolong our meals, empathizing with the awkwardness of the situation.
Despite our attempts to get the server's attention and rectify the situation, the lone diner's meal arrived significantly later than the others in a take away box. The delay created an uncomfortable atmosphere at the table and cast a shadow over what could have been an enjoyable dining experience for all.
The eventual arrival of the delayed meal did little to salvage the overall impression. The solo diner, understandably frustrated, found it challenging to fully enjoy their dish after such a prolonged wait. They ended up offering compensation for the guests 2 beers but little more than that. The lack of proactive communication and effort from the staff to rectify the situation left a distinct mark on our dining experience.
In conclusion, Sector 7 showed promise with its ambiance and menu variety, but the service disparities dampened what could have been a positive evening. A word of caution to potential diners: be wary of potential delays and discrepancies in service, and I hope the management takes steps to ensure a more consistent and enjoyable experience for all patrons...
Read moreI was searching for a place to eat after golf and this place came up through Google. I have never heard of it and it is in my neighborhood! It is also rated very highly so I figured, it’s worth a try. Im so very glad we did!
First of all, the drinks were superb. My margaritas were delicious! It is hard to make a good margarita because of the balance of lime and tequila and mine were perfectly done. My partner’s old fashion was done with such flair and show. It is a must try. He also had the Negroni which was also made well. Best of all, all our drinks were very reasonably priced!
We gushed about the drinks to our server, Karen who is also part owner, and he said wait til we try the food. He wasn’t wrong. We started with Nori chips and Asian Zing chicken wings. The chips were interestingly good and the wings were tender, moist and crunchy at the same time. We were off to a good start. . I figured, I should order something healthier so I went with the veg curry bowl. I really wanted to try one of their burgers but after having 2 drinks and appies, I didn’t want to over indulge. I was glad I ordered it. It was flavorful and plentiful. I had enough leftover for my dinner. My partner had the smoked salmon spaghetti which was also wonderful.
The restaurant itself was decorated nicely, from the custom made sofas to the glasswares and to the modern bathroom, I can tell there was a lot of thought put in to furnishing this place. Their mission is to be part of the neighborhood and I’m very glad they are in mine. The service is second to none. The owner, Karen, was warm, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly.
Keep up the good work and you’ll be seeing us...
Read moreMy girlfriend told me she wanted to take me to sector 7. I immediately thought of transformers and the government agency tasked with keeping the presence of transformers secret from the public.
When we arrived at the location the outside suspiciously looked like a neighborhood pub in suburban Richmond with ample free parking. I quickly would learn this was not the secret headquarters of sector 7.
As we walked in the front door, I felt like we were teleported to Yaletown. The music was playing modern r &b and hop hop, the decor was cool, dark, and welcoming. It's a place you could take a date, go with the boys or girls after work, go dressed up or dressed down loke we were in sweats, or just saddle up to the bar and chat with the cool guy Bartender.
It was Friday at around 8pm, the place was full. We took 2 seats at the spacious bar. They have a fully stocked bar and a real Bartender. The kind that shakes the drinker mixer thing a little too much. They have a great cocktail list and after we chatted with the Bartender a bit he offered to make us a custom drink if we gave him a base. My girlfriend chose gin and I chose vodka. He came up with 2 amazing drinks which quickly disappeared.
Dinner we shared the appetizer fried spicey cauliflower, beef tacos, and loaded waffle fries. We also had their Nashville fried chicken burger. All the dishes were excellent and good portions.
The staff was friendly and our seat at the bar we got to chat with several staff members. There are 3 guys there that look like triplets.
We really enjoyed the drinks, meal, and people. We agreed we would come back and try the place...
