This is a family-run sandwich shop that we are grateful for because they are a local eatery to us. The interior has dark brown wooden shelves filled with interesting objects. One shelf even had a wooden model biplane! After looking at their Facebook posts, we assumed that the Billy with house-made salt-cured pork must be their best sandwich, and decided to order the Billy and Samson sandwich. Our orders arrived with a metal tray and a thin white foil holding the delicious, open-faced sandwiches. Just like our expectations, the Billy is a classic dish! The salt-cured pork is thinly sliced and has the perfect taste that we were looking for: tender and succulent but not too salty :). The fresh green lettuce and diced red peppers work well to compliment the sandwich. What makes Smokehouse Sandwich different from other sandwich shops is their homemade aioli. This special sauce is cream yellow in colour and rich in taste. In comparison, the Samson with its coffee rubbed beef is a little sweet in taste but tender and hearty at the same time, making it a memorable sandwich.

While we were munching hungrily on our sandwiches, a kind waitress brought my order of strawberry mint tea and gave a cautious warning, "be careful, it's hot!" The warm drink was presented in a white cup with a red "Smokehouse Sandwich" logo. There were also bits of fresh mint leaves on the top of the beverage :).

All in all, this is an eatery with true family-style experience. We would recommend their Billy sandwich! The sandwiches taste a lot better on a toasted,...

Take-out, November 24, 2024 - Did a pick-up order, for a late lunch. Ordered the Billie and Jethro and large french fries. Restaurant is slightly dark on the inside, but overall, very nice looking. Person at the counter was very pleasant. Quickly discussed the "out of stock" menu items being actually out of stock. I thought it might have been a mistake with the on-line menu.

Me and my daughter tried both sandwiches; Billie and Jethro, and came to the conclusion that the sandwiches were just alright. We found the sandwiches not very tasty, kind of bland even. The Jethro did not have a strong cumin flavor. I thought the pork belly was not as salty as I would like, especially being cured. The same can be said for the Billie. Did not really get much flavor from the meat, or the rest of the ingrediants for that matter.

The other issue with the two sandwiches were how dry the bread was. I believed they were brioche buns. The dryness in the buns made the sandwiches a little tougher to eat. The meat was not as moist as well, which did not help matters.

French fries were OK. The first few were again kind of bland. The more you dug down into the fries, the better it started to taste.

Overall, was expecting better, especially when the name has the word "Smokehouse" in it. Being in the area, I was hoping to have a go-to place for something like this. Unfortunately,...

We ordered around 1:51pm and the order came around 2:15pm. It wasnt even busy, and it took them so long to prepare two burritos and one rice bowl meal. The atmosphere wasn’t welcoming too since when you’ve been seated you have to order your own food by scanning the menu and the two teenagers laughing and giggling at the front not even doing anything. My husband still give them a $2 tip even though they actually don’t deserve it, they didnt even serve the food when it was prepared us as customers have to come to them to get our own food. everything is self service tbh.

they dont have a coffee menu but its a brunch place right so they should have that. and my husband said the food wasn’t even hot so were not sure if its really freshly prepared.

and one worst thing, so there’s two other customers after us one ordered for to go and the other one for dine in but the food all came the same time for all the three of us??? like hello? we came first and then they got their food the same time we got ours??? whats going on inside the kitchen then????

and as you can see, the place is dirty and disgusting. a very bad experience for a first timer like us. NOT GONNA...
