The holy whale is a great place to enjoy live music while getting a drink.
The pros:
You can bring your own food and eat it inside or outside. But no outside drinks are allowed.
You can bring your dog inside the building and outside on the patio. But it’ll be pretty loud inside when there are bands, so it might be too loud for their ears.
There are board games available.
They sell drinks as well as some snacks like bags of chips. The alcohol selection is good.
Jelly Bean the Band was great - we hope they come again!
The cons:
The service is extremely slow. They need to hire more people. The place was packed and they only had two people working the bar. It took over 20 minutes waiting in line to get some beer.
They also don’t answer their phone and are very slow to reply on Facebook or email.
The place they said that would offer food (a pizza place next door) got so busy that they stopped taking orders for an hour, and then they sold out. They should think about having more restaurants or vendors available, especially for the summer.
On a hot summer evening the whole patio gets very full. When we arrived at 7pm there were no patio tables available so...
Read moreFriday Jan. 28th 2022, was easily one of the most treacherous days for driving in Greater Moncton so far this winter. The roads were all slush and ice. All in a company branded vehicle. It begs the question, was this driver drunk? Even if they weren't, what kind of way is this for a company to represent itself to the community? By needlessly and recklessly putting at risk the people of their community. It was a shameful display. If this is an example of how little care this company has for the lives of citizens of Greater Moncton, then one has to wonder if this lack of care bleeds over into other aspects of their operations?
I, for one, won't be supporting this...

A great place to stop if your out along the Riverview waterfront trail.
During the Covid19 pandemic, you sanitize your hands, grab an empty table and text your order and table number. Within seconds I received a reply that my beer was ready. Went to the bar paid via "tap" and was off to my table. The beer was ice cold which was fantastic as it was hot and I was out biking.
I had the stout and if you're into dark beers I recommend it.
They sell some basic snacks and have a large variety of craft beer 🍺. They've got a good thing going on...
