L'Intercolonial — Restaurant in Rivière-du-Loup

Nice restaurant. We were late close to the end of the night, they were not upset or disappointed because of our arrival. The waitress was amazing, friendly and spoke good English, she explained about the dishes and got us menus in English, the menu is not big and confusing. She also told us a bit of the history of the place, that was the house of the station master, the house was renovated and now is restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and friendly, we did not feel uncomfortable not knowing too much french, that made our experience pleasant. The food was good, well done and not plain flavours, nice combination and balance of spices and the meats. The waitress also knows about the beers and flavours, she explained so we would not get surprised, for example the hoppy...

The food and atmosphere were great. Price were a bit high, especially for the mac n cheese. The burgers were great for the value. The 5$ cost to change fries in poutine is... a lot. Service was great until I was guilt tripped by the waiter, basically asking me if I knew the tip wasn't included. I unfortunately wasn't able to tip due to being on a budget, but if your employer doesn't pay you enough, don't guilt trip the customer...

L'entrée était délicieuse! 5/5 Des options classiques, mais réinventé avec brio et délice! On y trouvait de la qualité. Les choix de sauces étaient savoureux. Un choix d'amuse-gueule intéressant.

Burger de côtes levés 4/5 :

Excellente combinaison d'ingrédients, chaque bouché était un délice. Par contre la boulette ne goûtait rien... mais avec l'ensemble, ça restait de bon goût. J'en reprendrais un pareil ! Les frites sont excellentes mais je déconseille en poutine :s

Mac & cheese 5/5 : Une option idéal pour les amoureux de Mac! Une fois goûté on ne veut plus d'autre recette. Le prendre gratiné le rend encore plus parfait.

Cocktail 2/5: Des recettes qui semble spéciales à la place et qui ont du potentiels. Cependant j'y trouvais un goûts léger, voir dilué. Une présentation normal dans les verres. Ce n'est pas un incontournable pour les cocktails, mais ça agrémente le repas. J'opterais plutôt pour un vin.

Service 5/5 : Rapide, souriante, bonne conseillère. Bonus pour moi, elle débarrasse tout au fur et à mesure donc pas d'encombrement inutile sur la table!

Pour l'ambiance, ce fût une belle expérience. La petitesse du restaurant n'enlève rien, on se sent bien à notre table. La musique était diversifié. La luminosité style bistro était bien tamisé et apportait un climat relaxant.
