When this place was Peddler’s Creek - it was hands down my favorite restaurant to go eat. Came in for a dinner, first impression, the atmosphere isn’t warm like it used to be, it kind of reminds me of a really loud waiting room at a dental office, like it’s crazy loud inside, even when it’s not busy, I couldn’t hear anything from people at my own table…shouting at the people you’re eating with was kind of a strange experience. The servers also all gather in an area that kind of blocks access to the restrooms, which is not a great layout idea, and even in the men’s room, the garbage for the paper towel is located beside a sink and a urinal, instead of near the paper towel dispenser, another weird layout idea, if you dry your hands, you have to wait for someone to stop washing their hands in order to dispose of the paper towel.
so the food…I’m a sucker for bbq, so I ordered brisket, pulled pork, sausage. The pulled pork was good, the brisket and the sausage were super dry. I like when bbq brisket melts in your mouth, this…definitely does not. I also had a pork belly pizza, it was fantastic. The pretzel is really good, but it’s served with honey mustard and marinara, honey mustard works, marinara not so much, would love if they had a Bavarian cheese sauce or something for it. French fries are really good, but the chipotle aioli just tastes like straight up mayo. Mac and cheese is mediocre, could definitely use a sharper cheddar though, doesn’t really have much flavor as is.
I’m really torn by this place, the staff are super friendly, and the service is pretty good. I would definitely eat the pizza again for sure, but a hard pass on the bbq...
Read moreVery dissatisfied with our first visit and will not be returning. Waited for almost 4-5 minutes to be seated as 4-5 staff members seemed to be not occupied by anything other than their phone on the right side of the bar and witnessed other guests of larger groups having to wait longer. Took 45-50 minutes to get our food , of two adults and one child. Bathroom floor was sticky and toilet paper and tampon wrapping on the floor of the stall. ( visited on Saturday at 3:25 pm) no customers inside about 8 tables on the patio.) Brisket was ok but not enough BBQ sauce, two sausages not sliced, no dips , no garnish just dry and plain. My Daughter wouldn't eat the oil drenched fries with her chicken finger kids meal, and BBQ ceasar salad had obviously been sitting for a while with soggy croutons. Need more attentive service and by the time a table of two adults and one child had to wait more staff in the kitchen. For quality of food and service your prices were...
Read moreWe had a lovely experience here. Within moments of coming in , staff had welcomed us and made sure that we had a high chair and an adequate setup for our baby. Our waitress made sure that we were comfortable, and was very kind, even bringing a plastic glass so our little one could have some water as well. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, as well as the baked beans. There was a touch of sweetness in the beans, which was wonderful. I also appreciated that there was a non alcoholic cocktail section, it allowed me to feel like I still had a special drink, even though I was not drinking alcohol. The blueberry basil mocktail was refreshing, and crisp! The staff was able to give my husband beer recommendations, and even provided a small taster to help him decide. I really appreciated their kindness, and quality of service. Give it a visit if...
