Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Rothesay

On January 11th 2025, I ordered a DQ cake for a surprise Birthday Party to be ready for pick up on January 12 2025 at 4:30pm. I arrived at 4:30pm to pick up my cake, no other customers were at the counter during this time just myself. A gentleman by the name of Irfan served me...I explained I was there to pick up my cake...after 10 minutes of waiting I was informed by some other employee that the cake was just being made. She said they were putting the icing on it, I waited another's 10 minutes(20 minutes in total)and finally he(Irfan)came with my cake....I informed him that I had a party to attend and because the DQ cake wasn't ready I'm late, and I pre-ordered this cake..I wanted to address this situation to the manager/owner, he informed me that he was the MANAGER AND THAT THE GIRL WHO TOOK MY ORDER DIDN'T PUT THE REQUEST IN TO THE OTHER WORKERS. THE CAKE WAS $41.99 HE GAVE ME A 10% DISCOUNT FOR THE MISTAKE.....I PAID HIM AND ARRIVED LATE FOR A SURPRISE PARTY. THE CAKE WAS PUT IN A FREEZER AT THE ESTABLISHMENT(VITO'S HAMPTON RD)WHERE THE PARTY WAS BEING HELD. THE CAKE WAS TERRIBLE WASN'T FROZEN...SOFT IN THE MIDDLE...NOW I'M PRETTY SURE THAT THE EMPLOYEES WERE MAKING IT, NOT JUST PUTTING ICING ON IT....I CAN TELL YOU AS OF TODAY THAT DQ IN ROTHESAY NB HAS LOST 14 CUSTOMERS. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK...... NEVER!!!!!! VERY...

I went with my young daugther to this DQ location. There were two customers ahead uf us serviced by one worker. Once finished, she then prepared their orders, while she was prepared her other co-worker made small talks with her and ignored that we were actually still stood there not even greated or acknowledged. (No one made eye contact with us) Another customer came, white lady, took her frozen cake and waited behind us. The worker right away, greated her and offered to service her "can I help you?" I was so suprised, felt angry, the fact that this white lady got so quick attention and warm service, of course I then interrupted, and told the worker that we were here before her. This was not cool Dairy Queen, this is 2022, post Black Lives Matter and Truth and Reconsiliation, your young mostly white teenager workers should be educated already on this...we must be anti-racist in all front of your business frontlines. If I order food from here during the day shift its usually great no issues. But when I order at night it's always 50/50, sometimes I get our order but most often than not there's always something missing, sometimes they send ice cream but no food, sometimes food but no ice cream. We order a basket of fries for the family but get a small to share with 4 people. It's almost always something. I'm not asking for the moon here, is it really that hard to read an order? I wouldn't mind if it was once in a while but it's not. Again, day team is usually great I'm not complaining about them but really I'm not sure if I'm going to keep buying from here, its just so annoying when half the people we order for don't get their food and they have to...
