Lagimodière Restaurant: Very good, delicious food — Restaurant in Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne

My sister and I stayed at the Richer Inn on our way out West and just came here again on our way back to Ontario. After reading the reviews for the restaurant, we decided to try it out and decided on the pizza and jalapeño & cheddar slammers. From the beginning, things did not go well. We showed up just after 8:30 pm to check in and order our takeout and the guy told us the pizza would take an hour and that they close at 9:30pm, which appeared as an attempt to prevent us from ordering. One of the female workers corrected him and said it would only be 30 minutes for the order. After picking up our food, we were again disappointed. First off, no where did I see it say the pizza was thin crust. Secondly, the guy had rung the toppings in on one of the pizzas incorrectly, and we received bacon bits instead of Pepperoni. Third, the "jalapeño & cheddar slammers" were actually cream cheese filled, not cheddar cheese, and we received sour cream with it instead of ranch dressing. Lastly, the guy who put the order through tried to charge us for ketchup packets... Must say that we were both quite disappointed with both the food and the service we received. Ontop of our personal experience, we witnessed two other issues when waiting for our order to be completed. Another customer came in in an attempt to place a take out order, and it took close to 10 minutes for staff to pay any attention to him. And when they finally did, they were not very polite. And the guy who initially took our order came out of the washroom with a full bag of garbage, I assume he had just cleaned it, and told the table who was still eating that they could have one more cup of coffee if they wanted it because he wanted to turn the machine off. I was recently there a few Sundays ago for dinner as I grew up in this area and was excited for their food.

However, I was very disappointed when my jacket was stolen from the location. When I called and asked for assistance, I was met with rudeness and told that they were not able to double check the cameras.

If they can’t have enough integrity to return a simple jacket, I would never book a night here because who knows what’s gonna go missing from your hotel room.

I have called multiple times to try and figure out where my $50 Wool coat is, but they don’t answer the phone now. To me, it seems that Staff took it because why wouldn’t you double check the cameras and let me know where my jacket is?

Let’s move onto the cleanliness of their kitchen, which would fail if health walked in the debris on the floor is staggering and you’re definitely kicking around french fries. To top it off, the cook was wearing a tank top and the kitchen helper was wearing a golf skirt and a Tank top.

Again, this goes to if they can’t dress the part or keep the floor clean how many times have they washed their hands during service?

The restaurant isn’t cheap either if two people go you’re gonna spend $15-$20 each. The bill will easily before you bucks without drinks.

This was my first time here and was having a good time at this bar, at the VLTs I would've ranked it 5 stars if not for the disrespect and unacceptable bullying I overheard from the kitchen staff. The bartender was great, friendly with fast service, she was the only reason I gave any stars at all. But then as we were finishing up a kitchen staff member with black hair and what looked like a tattoo behind her ear came out with ice cream, nobody had ordered because it was mistakenly put in. Her first response was hostility snapping at the bartender to delete it then she proceeded to go back to the kitchen and yell so clearly everyone in the whole bar could probably hear about how she would get written up and fired if she worked anywhere else and it was an unacceptable and punishable thing for her to do. Quite an extreme and unprofessional reaction to ice cream because regardless of how bad someone's day is nobody deserves to be bullied so openly at work. Don't think I'll come again. Her behaviour left a bad taste in my mouth and gave the place bad vibes. Also the pool...
