Subway — Restaurant in Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne

It's been so sad I went in there and I looked around there was a 3 girls there standing and kind of mulling around their station was disgusting and things all over the floor I'm looking at them the food area was dirty gross dried up old meat cheese an lettuce an empty jars of mayonnaise, floor was so dirty...okay trying to order my sandwich....lady looking at me with a blank face the other girl telling her what I want bare hands they are suppose to use gloves NOPE.. lady looks at me kind of blank so the other lady whispers to her ear in their language what I wanted and then I go to get the lettuce and it's dried mixed in with spinach that look kind of yellow so I'm looking at them and I'm like forget it no cancel no cancel all of our orders I had 4 other people there it's a crying shame you know I'm from Richar Manitoba and my family's been there for many years as it's now growing my mom's great-grandchildren and who are becoming 18 graduates next year an not hiring your own from your town, for sweat because hiring foreign students you received a government support..shame on you all even Esso,not hiring our own town folk, I will support my local businesses here, buns lunch meat, an make JDownloader subs....good luck on keeping your place going , richar let's support ours. Not this Dirty gross food, workers who are unable to understand you, imagine what they are doing behind loosed doors when we don't see it, no different then that subway person counting the meat on a counter an dirty feet, ppl all around calling him out an his ppl behind the counter doing nothing ...I 100% sure they are closed now...BYE BYE 👋 calling health board on this place too tomorrow ...no plastic gloves while handling food...dirty dry out meat an veggies, an no hair nets...first thing call...

Manager / Owner does not care about customer service or quality of its products. I understand the staff is new and still training but both my subs were made incorrectly. I was shorted the amount of meat on both subs. When I emailed my review in. I was blown off with no care in the world that I was ripped off. I would HIGHLY recommend hitting deacons corner Subway on the way out. The owner of the deacons corner location has a HIGH regard for CS and quality.

Pay attention to the reviews - Sure looks like the Owners family and friends are trying to boost ratings. All this makes me very sad as I was excited to have a subway closer. The story: I ordered two spicy Italian subs. The new staff never made one before. I told them how to make it. They wanted to confirm with the owner. He said yes its available and went back to playing on his phone. They staff made a BMT but no ham. With the no ham I should of received more meat of the two other meats. I did not. The girl was now nervous and scared to ask the owner for help again. So I just said it was fine and proceeded to do the veggies. Figured I would share my experience in my review and have it resolved that way. Sadly that was not the case at all. The owner just blew me off with some short response saying he will address it with his team.

I had a similar issue at the deacons corner subway. The owner replied and he gave me a voucher for to cover my entire meal. Then in the mail a week later two free 6" subs for the hassle. I was in Sunday evening around 7:30 ish.

A few things. No clean tables to sit down to eat it wasn’t busy so this is unacceptable.

What was even more surprising to me is I actual had to literally ask three times for more lettuce because they put a laughably small amount of veggies on the 12” sandwich. I asked twice politely for more lettuce then I said “common can I have some lettuce”. I eat at subway often and normally I’m good with the amount I get at subway but this store and maybe this employee in particular was brutal. After the third request the person making my sandwich started to insist that if I wanted lettuce I needed to ask for lettuce first and I then just got frustrated because I didn’t even want lettuce but I didn’t feel like requesting more of all the other toppings I actually did want so I just asked for lettuce to have a normal amount of veggies. I just paid for my meal and left. Safe to say I won’t be back. I can’t remember ever having to ask for extra toppings be added. Normally subways are adequate. To put it into context there were so few vegetables on that sandwich I could see the meat and cheese after asking for spinach, tomatoes, onions, green peppers and blk olives.

I would not recommend this establishment. I still cannot believe that experience. I want to believe this was an untrained new employee that has never eaten at subway or even made a sandwich in their life but how...
