No Sharing, No Hot Sauce, No Return.
I had high hopes for my 50th birthday dinner here after reading the glowing reviews, but the experience was a profound letdown.
Our table of five ordered a wide variety of dishes to share—quesadillas, nachos, tacos, empanadas, flautas, and more. The first red flag was when we asked for extra plates to share our meal family-style. We were flatly refused and had to negotiate just to get a single extra plate.
The issues continued with the condiments. We asked for hot sauce and were told it was already on the table: a chili oil that had absolutely no kick. When we inquired about a spicier option, our server informed us we could "buy a bottle." In any Latin restaurant, offering a flavorful, complimentary hot sauce is standard. If you want to sell bottles, a small sample for customers to try first would be a far better approach.
Furthermore, the quality of the food was concerning. As someone in the business (one of our party has run a French fry truck for over 30 years), we know well when frying oil is past its prime. The oil used for our tostones and other fried items was clearly overdue for a change, lending an unpleasant aftertaste to the food.
To have this happen on a milestone birthday celebration made the disappointment even sharper. We left feeling unheard and undervalued as customers. Management, I sincerely hope you take this feedback to heart and make the necessary...
Read moreMy sons first communion was coming up and we wanted to get catering from the Latin Table. We came in to try it out! what a horrible experience! I get my meal and the middle is very cold, which after trying to get a few bites down could not continue. I waited patiently for someone to come ask how the food was to I could exchange it for a hot one. but after waiting 20 minutes without being checked on, my kids had already finished their meals it was almost time to go. When they finally did come, I told them it was cold and they offered to warm it up, by this time it was very soggy and not appetizing and we also had no more time. I said no thank you. We went to pay and the first thing that is said is "what was wrong with the burrito?" I tell them it was very cold, and the woman started to argue with me!!! telling me it was just the lettuce and everything else was hot. I insisted it was all cold and she flat out told me it was impossible and when I asked why I would lie about something like this, she pretty much said I must be because she knows it was hot. no apologies, just arguing. (while my kids are standing there) She then charges me the full price and said I ordered it, and it was hot so she's charging me. Needless to say, not only will I not get my event catered by them, but I will never go again and make sure to tell everyone I can to avoid it! worst service ever!!!! and...
Read moreWent at 6 on a thursday, place wasn't busy enough for how good the food was.
We got the mixed pupusas (with sauce and pickled veggies) and the chicken enchiladas with a verde sauce. We also had horchatas to drink, and tried both the churros and the tres leches cake for dessert.
The food was great, although I'll definitely follow my partner's lead and get the pupusas next time, they were far and away tastier than the enchiladas, which got a little soggy in the sauce by the time I was done.
The horchatas were amazing, recommend them heavily if you're okay with the slight graininess of a rice drink.
The churros and tres leches were both amazing as well.
Service was great, took a little longer to get the food, but when it showed up it was obvious that it was just being made fresh for us. Will definitely be going back.
Update! Went back and got pupusas and chips with guac. Crazy good food, those...
