McDonald's — Restaurant in Sackville

I recently visited the McDonald’s in Sackville, NB, and had a disappointing experience. My friends and I placed two online orders (one with code YD42) and a drive-thru order. We were asked to wait at the side, but when our food arrived, order YD42 was missing, even though we received the Diet Coke from that order.

When we showed proof of the order and payment, the manager dismissed our concerns, insisting the order didn’t exist and refusing to provide the missing items. His dismissive attitude, including whistling at us to leave, was unprofessional and frustrating. It was clear to us and the other staff that an error had occurred, yet instead of resolving the issue, the manager chose to ignore us.

This kind of treatment is unacceptable and not what I expect from McDonald’s. A bit of professionalism and care would have made all the difference. Very disappointing...

I had an uncomfortable experience at this McDonald’s location. As an Asian customer, I went to order a Happy Meal with a grilled chicken snack wrap and asked to add an extra half grilled chicken. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t understand my order. A kind Canadian customer standing nearby heard the issue and tried to help explain my order clearly, but even then, the McDonald’s staff still said they didn’t understand.

The issue here isn’t just a language barrier — it’s a lack of patience and training in customer service. McDonald’s is an international brand that serves a diverse community. Staff should be better trained to listen carefully and communicate with customers of all backgrounds.

I hope McDonald’s will improve their service quality so that everyone can feel welcome...

The overall customer service here leaves much to be desired. I observed this lady waiting for her take-out order for over 20 minutes. The employees were trying to work hard but they kept running into each other and confusing themselves which order number was already “done” or “not done.” It was quite entertaining while I was waiting for our take-out order, lol. The lack of paper towels in their bathroom is disgusting. So, we wash our hands but then open the unsanitary bathroom doorknob with our clean hands to exit the bathroom right before touching our food to our mouths? YUCK.
