I have gone to Patterson’s a few times over the years and while the quality was never amazing the cost was always low for the amount of food received. Sadly with the new menu design it would seem prices went up a few dollars across the board. Again not an issue at all, I understand with rising food costs things can’t stay the same. The actual issue lies with the reduction in size and quality of the meals ordered. Fries on the plate have increased and bun sizes for the burgers have reduced to the same as no name 4 inch diameter cook out buns. A burger akin to one you would pay 5 dollars at a hockey fundraiser was presented with a mountain of fries that were blonde and tasted like they mingled with haddock from the fish fryer while cooking. My onions for the burger where grilled but sadly on the hot part of the griddle leaving the bottoms of them charred to the same color as my burger. My star increase for food is from the affordable potato skins with cheese and bacon. I recommend getting those if you do go as it was a nice little treat. The staff has always been lovely, super attentive, and very quick. As for atmosphere I usually have no problems but for some reason they had contractors changing out lighting fixtures and moving ladders around during service. I actually don’t mind that as a concept but it would seem that the booth we sat in was covered in wood/ceiling shavings that blended into the beige booth seats. My photo shows less than what was actually there as the black edge of the window was the only place that had them that wasn’t also the same tan color camouflaging them. I would gladly come back if either the price went down on what is offered or if there is a a return to previous burger size and quality at higher cost on the menu, with this in between just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Stopped in for lunch between high school hockey games, picked it because Google reviews were very positive and I might have eaten here once long ago. It was busy, looks like the spot for the after church crowd and if the locals are loving it then it's gotta be good. Service was with a smile, lots of choices and it was pretty fast. My son had the spaghetti and meat sauce, huge portion, he loved it. Wife had soup and a donair wrap, loved it and I had the BBQ burger, two patties, fries, stuffed me. All the food was hot, done fast and at a very good price. I would definitely eat here again, one of those places you remember because the experience is overwhelming positive. Meant to take more pics but all I got is this poutine menu....I'm coming back for that for sure.

We recently had breakfast at Patterson’s Family Restaurant in Sackville and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and warmth of this cozy spot. The atmosphere feels like a true community diner—laid-back, friendly, and welcoming. Their breakfast menu is extensive, with options ranging from classic eggs and toast to pancakes, bacon, and perfectly seasoned home fries. I ordered the traditional breakfast plate, and everything was cooked just right. The coffee was hot and kept flowing, which I appreciated. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. If you’re driving through or live nearby, Patterson’s is well worth a stop.

My husband and I were in Saturday for lunch. My last post got deleted. We come from Shediac every few weeks as my husband loves your fish and chips and turkey dinner. Our last visit was lovely. However, this past weekend, we had a brand new waitress who just started there last week (we only know this as she is very loud and we could hear her talking to others about how she just started). Which is fine. What was very interrupting was having to hear her go on and on about the new owners and saying things about the other waitresses that were not very nice. We love to come to your establishment every time we come through, but we did not appreciate having to hear our waitress talk badly about the owners and the other waitresses who I am assuming were not there to defend themselves as we have had nothing but excellent service from all of the other waitresses. My husband has been looking for the receipt to find her name -- she was older-- I think maybe Sheryl or Shania-- something similar to that. My husband and I aren't ones to want to get employees in trouble but we were very disappointed with the things she was saying.

May be awhile before we return.

Thank you.

Found the receipt. Name was Shannon. I could not believe the things she was saying about the restaurant, the owners and...

I went here with my dad back in May and it was a great experience with amazing fish and chips. However this past week when I brought both of my parents here, it was absolutely horrible. We had a ten minute wait for a table which was completely doable, however ten minutes turned into half an hour quickly, and we watched servers sit customers that had just walked in instead of us. Once we finally got a table and were given menus, we were not offered any drinks or even water. Our server walked off into the kitchen to go and chat with their coworkers. We waited another 20 minutes for someone to come and start our order, however nobody came. A server then sat an older couple at the table next to us, and immediately offered drinks to them. My mom spoke up by saying “excuse me” to which we were completely ignored. We were not even acknowledged by any of the staff. It was unacceptable, even as we left, none of the staff said anything or asked why we were leaving. I can understand if the restaurant is busy, however it was not busy enough for staff to be blatantly ignoring customers and instead having gossip sessions in the kitchen in complete view of the customers. Very disappointing, will not be...
