This new restaurant that opened recently in Saint Bruno really gave us the utter luxury experience. From the reception, all the way to the dining, this place warrants a Michelin star. Food: Entree. Main course. Dessert. Every single dish was meticulously constructed for both eye and stomach. There was not one plate we could not resist. I had the Foie Gras Empanada and the Magret de Canard. Everything was cooked perfectly and prepared artistically. The fusion of Peruvian and Spanish dining were illustrated well in the menu and were executed with outstanding precision. A hat to the head chef. Sommelier: The Sommelier tonight was José, who was knowledgeable, attentive, and understood the delicate dance of pairing food with wine. Service: The service was exceptional. The waitress was always attentive, compassionate, and delivered utmost professionalism. The water was always refilled. The menu was detailed and explained in a rehearsed but refined manner. The food was always served hot and in sequence. And the aperitif cocktails were great, recommended by the waitress. Ambience: The ambience was very warm, exciting, and decorated with the Peruvian and Spanish twist you sought out for. We are returning Thursday. And as residents in this beautiful town, will continue to return. We hope but great endeavors for this new restaurant. Shout out to the staff who were welcoming and a Salut to the owner for the concept...
Read moreI ordered the foie gras, the fish ceviche and octopus.
Food was great except the ceviche. I found that the lemon taste was too strong and masked the taste of the fish. Not a good dish to order in my opinion.
I think the quantity the price ratio is unfair. I've been to fancier restaurants where I got at least 30% more food for the same price.
I came for my grandmother's birthday and left a note in the booking, but the note was ignored. My grandmother also never got any free dessert for her birthday, which I think for the price we're paying already is a little bit absurd. I'd understand if this was a food truck but it's not.
The service was horrible (we sat outside, but still). We didn't get napkins until we asked at the end of the serving. There's also no water that was left on our table and water filling was not coming fast enough to refill our water. I had to ask for a water bottle to be left on the table.
The vibe/atmosphere was very good, the music wasn't too loud...
Read moreVery cute restaurant that features Peruvian food, much of it grilled. Lovely large terrasse. Service was friendly and efficient, the cocktail we had was delicious and the sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable. I loved that the grilled tuna came with plenty of delicious grilled vegetables. Too often restaurants seem to treat veggies like a garnish! These were every tasty. We didn't have dessert just because we'd eaten too much. Mercat is not cheap, but it's good quality. We each had a cocktail and a glass of wine, shared a ceviche appetizer, then one of us had magret de canard, the other grilled tuna. With taxes, it came to $187 but in all fairness, if we had skipped the alcohol, it would have been closer to $100. And the...
