I'm not from Joliette and was looking to get a good hamburger steak and saw that this place has it, it's the only reason I went there.
When I placed my order, I asked what comes with it and she replied with, you have the choice of fries or mashed potatoes. I chose mashed and she mentionned that if I want onions on it, it's extra, I replied with, what? Is that normal because Im not from around here. She said its normal.
I was going to order a drink, but when she said onions are extra, I wasn't going to encourage this place even more. That was the second red flag. The first one was the annoying sound and vibration under my feet. Still don't know what the noise is, I thought it the AC or something, she said it's not.
Remember, I have no idea what it comes with other than mashed potatoes because she didn't say even if I asked and there are no pictures on the menu.
She quickly comes back with a coleslaw which at first, I was pretty happy with but after tasting it a few times, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth so I stopped eating it.
I get the plate, it comes with a small bun in a bag that was very moist but not because its fresh, because its so old, the bread was a really odd color so I didnt touch that.
So it comes with a little salad which is cool but with a big tomato on top, which I hate. So I didnt touch that at all. The mashed potatoes tasted nothing, just like the ones I would do, even after adding some salt. The hamburger steak was not a steak, it was like a burger patty with sauce on top which again, no taste. (Ever heard of salt?) What to say about the little boild veggies, they looked and tasted terrible.
All I ate was the meat patty.
She came to pickup the plates, asked how it was and told her it was horrible, everything was horrible, she looked stunned while I explained in details.
She comes back with the bill, no rebate, nothing. I couldnt beleive it, I returned your plate with the only thing missing was the meat.
She did offer a free drink to go, but whats that going to do when you're hungry. I still tipped her even though, I don't think she deserves it with this experience.
I almost forgot, the water tasted really weird, aren't restaurants suppose to filter water?
You can be assured that I will never go to this place again and I think you should know that if you want hospital food with zero accountability and no information on what you're...

The poutine was good. The crispy and well seasoned fries made it all. We waited for about an hour without exaggeration to get our food after we sat at our table. It was packed but it felt too long knowing other table were served before us even if we arrived before. The mamouth burger was OK. There’s a lot of hype behind this burger but it felt super normal and kind of dry. -The staff was nice even if they forgot couple items in our order. You eat well for a small amount of money and you sure don’t leave on a empty stomac.
Bottom line: For my first time it’s an OK experience. Nothing more. I’m open to go back again to see if I can bump...

I stopped by in the morning and was pleasantly surprised to find that they also offer a delicious and affordable breakfast. What really stood out was their unique breakfast menu—you can choose between sausage, bacon, or even pork roast, which is something you don’t see often! Everything was well-prepared and tasty.
If you're passing through or live nearby, it's definitely worth the stop. A hidden gem with great food and...
