Edward Smoked Meat — Restaurant in Saint-Constant

2 words EXTREMELY SALTY. Looks great, has great reviews, which is why we drove out of our way to come here on our way home from Montréal, so salty we could barely eat it after spending $60. Had meat poutine and meat sandwich on the pier in Old Town; was absolutely delicious! The food at Edward’s pales in comparison and is so salty it’s impossible to enjoy it! No apologies from the staff just justification, “it’s fast food” explanation of “we don’t add salt we use powder packet”. Save your money and find a restaurant that makes homemade food! Originally put 2 stars but after the way they responded when we expressed our dissatisfaction changed it to a 1 star. My husband and I went there tonight we had heard of the place but we were not sure it was worth it. I would like to say that it was so worth it. The service was impeccable, the waitresses were friendly and helpful. They took the time to acknowledge us and asked if we needed help with the menu, they gave us suggestions. Good service like that is hard to come by nowadays. We opted for the Edward extreme poutine and the brisket poutine. It was delicious! Honestly one of the best poutines I have had in a long time. Multiple sandwiches to go, and there were no napkins in the bag. No coleslaw included with the sandwiches which seems very bizarre for a smoked meat sandwich. The meat was very rubbery and not very flavorful at all. The floors were very sticky my feet stuck to the floor and it was kind of gross. I asked that they please wrap up all of the sandwiches individually because it was for a bunch of different people and I got everything shoved into one big bag... and of course "please tip" at the checkout and the "no tip" isn't an option you ha e yo manually select "$" then "0"
