Buffet Oriental — Restaurant in Saint-Constant

I have loved going to Chinese buffets ever since my youth until now. Buffets in general have almost disappeared. In my neck of the woods the only Chinese buffet left is Mandarin and they are basically self-destructing themselves and their prices make no sense. Recently I have been trying to find alternatives and stumbled upon this one while doing a Google search for Chinese buffets. I then asked my inner circle if anybody has been to this buffet and none have been. Today I asked my daughter if she wanted to go and she said yes. Now today January 14, 2024 there was a heavy snow fall going their that everyone on the highway put on their hazards because no one could see ahead. All this to say that this buffet for me who has loved buffets all his life can say that it was well worth driving through a blizzard. The only thing I can say is that this place does not accept debit card. Yes if you read other reviews that the select is limited but it was perfectly fine with us. The choices were ones that we normally would only take. The sushi choices were fresh and delicious. The lunch price for me is the best bang for the buck. Would we go back. YES! Was I satisfied? Yes. In general, place is very clean, positive vibe. Service is very satisfying. I showed up with my friend during weeknights after 5pm. it was quiet busy. very crowded and we had to wait 10 minutes at front door for an available table for dinner buffet. Menus are and i would generously say are just OK but the variety of food is very very limited compare to what we pay per person (35$ including taxes and 10% table service tips). There is only two sorts of rice and no grilled meat section at all. Also no Sushis at all in the buffet menus. Very disappointing. Also Sea food is only limited to baby shrimps regardless that we showed up at nights where normally sea food is supposed to be fully served. I was a bit disappointed. Not a big variety of food on the floor menu. It is very limited and basic. But for the price we paid I guess this is what we get. It barely pass the minimum standards of a wide open Asian food buffet. I do not recommend this. There is better buffet choices out there in the area for few...

Chin Chine down the road is better and isn't rude to their customers like this place. I've given them a few chances but I won't be going back or recommending this place to anyone anymore. Their delivery is terrible and their customer service when you go to pick up is terrible too.

You can't pay with debit because they get charged a fee. Instead they rudely tell you to go to the back and use the ATM machine where YOU get charged a fee to use it. When you mention that, they also rudely tell you to go to the bank and pull money out before coming to order. No thanks, your food isn't worth that much of a hassle.

Since I've lived in St Constant this is the third or fourth Chinese resto that has been there. None lasted because they're all terrible like this one. This one won't last any longer.
