With lots of negative reviews, I was weary. But honestly, all in all, the food was great! We were a group of 30, yet the service was quick and efficient. When they brought each service, I was worried about the small dishes and that it would take a long time to get some more to satisfy the group. For example the plate of potatoes is a small tiny plate for like 5-6 people. Same goes for the other dishes. But the servers were great at seeing what was missing and were on point.
For me, the highlights was the thick cut bacon and ragoût aux boulettes, and everything they offered for dessert was exceptional - tarte au sucre, pudding chômeur, pancakes and ice cream.
I’m assuming the bad comments about slow service and lack of food likely has to do with a very busy night combined with the small size of the dishes and perhaps the kitchen’s inability to furnish a large room. That wasn’t our experience though.
Tire sur la neige wasn’t too great. They could also use a facelift - the decor is “homey” and somewhat old school, but starts to border on a cheap and old look in some regards.

Read moreWe had our wedding August 2023 at Lalande. I could not ask for a better day. I really felt taken care of, and Claude Charbonneau really eased our stresses and made sure everything was going to run smooth which it did. The Staff was wonderful. My only minor critiques which would have made everything perfect to a T was that we were suppose to have the poutine come out at a certain time but it came out kind of late and many of the guest had to leave. Besides that I really felt the venue was perfect, easy to work with when bringing your decor and got all our questions answered that we needed as planning a wedding without a wedding planner is not easy. But honestly we are grateful and I got to marry my best...
Read moreFood was very good. Service was excellent. My only complaint is that it is written everywhere that the tip is not included in the price of the ticket. That's fine, however, then our server is practically BEGGING everyone at the table for tips non stop as she is bringing food to the table. Why don't they just increase the price of the ticket by 15% and automatically pay their servers according to the # of people they serve? If the customer WANTS to give more after, they can. Also, the poor guy working the ''tire d'érable'' station had to use a plastic pitcher to pour the ''tire'' on the ice and he kept having to reheat it in the microwave every couple of minutes... It sort of threw me off...
