Restaurant Milano Pizzeria — Restaurant in Saint-Jérôme

I'm sure this isn't the worse restaurant in Saint-Jerome but it is amongst the worst I have been to. The inside of the restaurant still smells like an old ashtray from the clientele that frequented it back in the days when smoking was allowed in public places. The pizza that I ordered had raw onions on it which also taste of cigarette smoke and were warm at the most, having spent very little time in the oven. The tomato pizza sauce had an over-powering taste of fennel or anise, either of which makes an awful combination in pizza (in my opinion).

After dinner I asked the waitress what their specialties were, to my surprise she warned me to stay away from their smoked meat (not a good sign when even the staff doesn't like the food they serve), and then boasted that their pizza was recognized as one of the best in Saint-Jerome.

As another reviewer pointed out, I also noticed their menu spelled Scotch whisky "Skotch"... What a classy joint.

I wish I could say something positive about this restaurant, but the fact is that I will never...

Everything about our experience here is comforting.

The atmosphere. The decor. Guétane our waitress. Even the menu is nostalgic, with big pictures of each item - just the way I used to like it as a kid. The food was fantastic. We ordered a lot - the meat sauce pasta was a HIGHLIGHT, it came with milk bread which was such a nice touch. The cheese sticks pulled perfectly, hot and paired perfectly with the marinara sauce that came with. The classic poutine, I will be coming back for. We also shared the tasty québécoise pizza between the five of us. Just when I thought I couldn’t eat any more, I had just one bite of the steak sub and couldn’t help myself to scoff the whole thing.

Sincèrement je n'avais jamais rien eu à dire sur Milano avant cette année... La pizza est excellente et nous commandons là-bas plusieurs fois par mois! Mais aujourd'hui a été la goutte qui a fait débordé le vase!!! Les 3 dernières fois où nous avons commandé il y a eu des erreurs et nous allons la chercher alors rien à voir avec les gars de livraison. Nous commandons toujours une pizza pepperoni, fromage et bacon BIEN CUIT, rien de compliqué là-dedans! La serveuse qui prenait la commande n'était pas très attentive et lors de l'appel mon conjoint a mentionné 8 fois le bacon bien cuit et je dis bien 8 fois, car il l'a réellement demandé 8 fois! On nous offre de nous charger la Spécial Milano et d'enlever tout ce qui va dessus et de juste laisser le bacon... On arrive là-bas, il y a presque pas de bacon sur la pizza et il est pas bien cuit... Par contre, si je comprends bien il y a moins de bacon dans la spécial Milano que juste Extra Bacon, jusque-là ça va... Mais pourquoi ne pas juste avoir fait la foutu pizza qu'on voulait dès le début pepperoni/fromage/bacon! Pour qu'au final vous vouliez nous charger une spécial milano avec un extra bacon supplémentaire, on s'entend que la pepperoni fromage est moins cher... C'est peut-être juste 3$ de différence mais c'est le principe! Le pire dans tout ça, c'est la merveilleuse proprio avec son air bête de toujours, qui n'a aucun respect et qui fait exprès de parler fort devant les autres clients!! Alors Bravo chère Dame vous venez de perdre des excellents clients pour votre attitude irrespectueuse!! Juste mentionner que mon conjoint a 35 ans et que ça faisait au dessus de 20 ans qu'il commandait chez vous... Nous irons ailleurs la prochaine fois, c'est...
