Visited on October 2, 2021, in the afternoon. Just like the old Rue de Villemure pub, it was the day after their opening. Located one block east of the brewery, it's in a former garage in front of a public parking lot. No street parking, but there is a lot of space in front and around. From the outside, you would not know it was a garage until you see some signs of what it was. Elements of wrought iron, polish wood and concrete. The patio, which is more than double the size of the previus on, is between the pub and the brewery. The inside is much different, unlike the old one where it is a larger version of the Montreal brewpub, this one is much more modern. Lots of windows that give it more light, a combination of regular and high tables, the bar however is far more classic look. They have up the 30 taps, almost all available in bottles and cans, but a few tap only like Nanatsu No Taizai, a coffee black strong lager brewed with Godspeed for Péché Day 2018. The food menu is the same, wich is more varied than in Montreal. One thing this place has that the other did not and it's a separate boutique to buy beer and merchandise. This is a much...
Read moreWe've been going to Dieu du Ciel for a long time, but over the past year, they've been making it VERY difficult for people who don't eat meat or chicken. Before, I would order the wonderful fish tacos, then they were suddenly removed from the menu with no explanation. The fish and chips--a mainstay for any pub!--were also removed. Then they stopped serving sweet potato tacos. So we started ordering the delicious soups of the day--usually vegetarian and always good. The last time we dined at DDC, there was no longer soup of the day, and when we asked why that, and the delicious sweet potato tacos had disappeared, the server apologized and said she honestly didn't know why. We will go one more time, tonight, and hope for the best, but I'm worried our once-beloved St. Jerome pub with wonderful beers will not offer anything beyond the veggie burger and frites (excellent, but it's the only thing left I can eat, and it's sometimes too heavy for me). Bring back fish tacos, sweet potato tacos, and...

I used to love this place.... But my recent experiences have not been good. The service has gone downhill, it's slow. We came for growlers to go, and told the waitress this at 10:20pm. Ended up having a beer and she said we would wait till we were to leave to fill them. We realize it's approaching 11pm and she hasn't filled the growlers. So at 10:56 we ask her to fill them and they can't because of law that they can't do ti after 11pm..... This is the whole reason we came and were clear on this well ahead of time (we drove from Saint Jovite). They did offer to cover our drink so I'll give it 2 stars.
Basically they need more servers on the busy nights to Improve service to get this place back to what it should be...
